Rumours of heated exchanges post match Monday evening, regarding tactics amongst other things.
Transfer window opens shortly, fasten your seat belts for another bumpy ride boys biggrin
I bet there was heated exchanges why oh why when we went 3-2 we should defend that lead. Rom must be shaking with anger. We have to be more ruthless or buy defenders and midfield players who can be.
Like i've said, Would a Moyes team let that lead slip, not on your life, it's this passing out of defence that gives me the screaming sts, there's a time that it's useful but when you go 3-2 up with 11 minutes to play is not one of them, maybe when Jags gets back things will look better but i'm not holding my breath.

In December we gave away at least 6 points maybe more, we should be up with the Spuds IMO.

I'll start it now, Martinez has to go..... Moyes is looking for a Job, isn't he?

How many times would a moyes team have scored three times? How many times would they have taken the lead having been 2-1 down.

There's a reason we have a long term nick name of "Everton nil"...

I see your point, but in that situation my thoughts stand, also if Kenright decides that RM's tactics aren't good enough we do have someone at the club who could step in at short notice and would have the first team behind him from the word go, and that's Duncan Ferguson....

Interesting defensive stats.
Its the 14th time Everton have conceded 3+ goals in 95 PL matches under Martinez. Happened 7 times in Moyes' final 136 PL matches in charge.
Moyes never had the luxury of spending 28m on a striker. But got one good season at of the £11m Yak.

I think what we have here is a potential cup winning side, not a league winning side. Score lots of goals, win cup. Concede lots, don't win league.

well, I'm hoping.

We don't defend a lead and the substitutions leave a lot to be desired. I think Martinez has a lot of qualities but I'm not convinced by his team selections and given that this is our best squad since the mid 1980's we are suddenly a team performing below expectation. I hope he starts to change his ways because I'm sure he has the passion, intellect and ability, but it's now a matter of whether he is prepared to learn. I will be bitterly disappointed if he doesn't achieve something with this team and I'd have no hesitation in pointing the finger at Martinez if we end up mid table and no trophies.

Spot on article that. We have to win ugly sometimes, and I sure RM does not know how to do that. We make far to many mistakes while trying to play out from defence when hoofing quickly upfield to our brilliant strikers would be the way forward.

Well this horrible rainey afternoon just got better with the RS losing at West Ham

"Everton At The Crossroads" - interesting article from the Telegraph. I had no idea about the sponsorship deal, though in some perverse way I quite like that fact that in this world where most clubs would (and have) sold their souls for a few extra ££ of revenue there's a sense of loyalty there.

We have to start shaking it up, we are so predictable and Spuds know just how to play us. Shocking start.
