Wow, I didn't expect to win that easily today. Sunderland fans all leaving are a disgrace, whatever happened to supporting your team?

Well done to Palace who can now enjoy playing West Brom and Liverpool, Chelsea and ManUre instead of looking over our shoulders and worrying about getting points.

Fantastic season.

I just love being a Palace fan... Big apologies for pissing on Sir Steve's chips, but what a great result. I'm a bit pissed myself actually.

Fantastic achievement,. Above Everton, West Ham, Aston Villa, Newcastle. Top half finish - incredible.

I'm very proud to be a Palace fan today.

It's going to be a long season (they all are!) but Sunday will br a great test against a very good team. Arsenal have many fantastic players and the loss against Wet Spam last weekend is most definitely a blip. Let's hope for another blip on Sunday, but don't expect it!

Almost nicked a point from the Arse. We showed that we can mix it with the big boys, just need to gel a bit more and find our feet. I think Pards has a hard job choosing his starting 11. Would like to see Jedi back for McArthur, Sunday was just a bit too attacking in my opinion. Souare looks class going forward and as for Cabaye....that's the best £10 mill Palace has ever spent!
I have to disagree re McArthur, I thought he played very well. I would like to see Jedi back, but maybe by moving Cabaye forward. We have great strength in depth, although I wouldnt be totally surprised if both Jedi and Ledley (and Gayle + Bolasie) are all gone next month. Not too sure yet about Lee particularly and Mutch, less so. Also Macarthy in goal looked a good prospect, unlike last week....

...But the fact that we ran Arsenal close is incredible for all of us who've been following Palace for years. Bring on Villa!

Not being funny, but if we can get three points from a game when we play as poorly as that then we should be safe this season smile

Well it was a good performance, but I think we certainly 'got away with it' after they hit the woodwork three times! I'd love luck like that every week...

We need of get rid of Campbell and get another quality striker alongside Wickham, hopefully Remy or Austin. If the rumoured bid for Shelvey goes through I can see a very strong core, so the striker acquisition is critical in my view.

Fingers crossed we get some good news soon...

I hate to be negative, but that first half yesterday was the most abysmal performance ive seen from Palace in many years. Shocking and disgraceful. Lets hope theres an improvement on Tuesday at Sunderland or we are in very deep sh!t...

I'm still fuming. Firstly, the injustice of the penalty, secondly the timing of the penalty, thirdly the bad luck in our keeper presenting them with the equaliser, fourthly the apparent inability of Palace to 'grind out a result', fifthly that we didn't take advantage of playing against ten men, sixthly that Pardew threw on two forwards and took off a defender, seventhly that we just don't seem capable of putting an end to this horrendous run of shocking performances combined with bad luck and incompetent match officials. It really bloody hurts, anybody got a spare piece of rope?

Still, the sun came up this morning.

Fact is that the ref consults the (cheating b4stard) linesman, but then makes his decision. So he's copping out by saying the linesman gave it. He should've realised that poor bloody linesman has to run up and down in front of the scousers for 45 minutes with them screaming in his ear. The ref should've realised that the touch was so insignificant as to not knock over a flippin powder puff and that bloody Benteke is cheating. Still fuming.

xplain to me why the time of the penalty makes you fume? confused
I defy any fan not to feel pissed off when a dubious penalty is given against them in the last TWO SECONDS of added time.

As for being deluded or having a sense of entitlement, I'm not and i have none whatsoever. We nearly went out of business in 2010, so most of the time I'm just loving being in the prem. But that doesn't make injustice or bad luck any easier to take, and our bad run this year is really hurting. But hey, you all go ahead and take the piss, i really dont give a flying fk what chelsea west hammers or gooners think.

Really. A cheat? He's been taking backhanders has he? Evidence.

fking whinging Palace cry babies. A decision went against you. Deal with it.
You're obviously not a fan if you dont get upset when things go against you. But whatever, I don't care what you think.

Hahahahahaha rofl

Do you actually believe what you wrote? This thread has some spectacularly deluded posters on it, I nearly confused it with the Liverpool thread for a moment.

The assistant referee has seen what he thought was a foul and gave it. Yes, it may not be the correct decision (I've seen it several times in super slo mo from various angles and still can't make my mind up) but what you're saying is that the assistant referee is essentially a cheat. The ref will only ever overrule another official if he has a definitive angle on a decision, which he clearly didn't in this case. There was contact as well, so it's tough st I'm afraid.
You can't make your mind up and you've seen it multiple times in slo mo? And the linesman gave it, with one view. And he's supposed to be certain. But he gave it in the last two seconds of added time. Tough st? You bet.
