I will let you know once the transfer window has closed
I agree with you to a certain extent though, QPR's squad doesn't appear to be good enough for the prem and the players you outline other than Routledge as he's gone are not up to much, if we sign Bothroyd and Campbell (and Mackie is now fit) it will give us a good chance of scoring goals, I feel we really do need some strength in defence most importantly, as MPower Mark pointed out I think Hargreaves would be a potentially good signing in midfield, whether he can stay fit or not is anyones guess.
Hand on heart I think QPR will go straight back down if we don't add some quality to the squad, even then it will be very difficult to stay up, Norwich I feel will also be in a similar situation to us, playing away at United, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea certainly won't be easy, but hey, least we're both there to experience it, you never know, we could both be playing champions league football next season

Does he???
When???
A) When he gets to play, which hasn't been too often.
B) Look at his record for England, doesn't matter who it's against, we struggle against everyone, at least he scores.
He is a defenders nightmare, if he plays regularly and has someone who can put the ball on his head, he'll score 20+ goals easy.
Even legends like Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen, Alan Shearer, Kevin Keegan and Bobby Charlton cannot match Crouch's goals per game strike rate and he is now the sixth best in English history, yeah, he never scores huh?

Peter Crouch - The Stats
In the League (which is what you are interested in) Peter Crouch's Goals-Per-Game ration is 0.26 or 1 goal every 4 games.
This is not the hit rate of a top class striker, in fact its far from it.

However, his 'assists' are very good and must be considered when making an assessment of his usefulness to your team.
But don't buy him if you're after an out-and-out goal scorer - you'll be disappointed, buy him to compliment a good striker.
£6m doesn't, unfortunately, buy you a 'top class striker' but it'll buy a player than can score goals both in the air and on the deck, and as you say his assists are also very good, which our other strikers, Bothroyd, Mackie, possibly DJ Campbell, Webber and Helguson can feed off of quite nicely. In the League (which is what you are interested in) Peter Crouch's Goals-Per-Game ration is 0.26 or 1 goal every 4 games.

Not quite sure why Redknapp doesn't or didn't play him more, defenders just can't defend against him other than to push him about, which they do as he's like a stick, but I personally would think it would be a great signing, plus his missus is fit
Now to sort the defence please Neil.
Was waiting for all the comments by the inbreds
Poor result and hopefully that'll give them a wake up call, our defence is nowhere near good enough, ho hum looks like this season will be a painful one as I suspected from the start.
It seems Dyers injury is not so bad, which is a shame!
We had a goal disallowed in the first few minutes, I'm sure we would have gone on to win had it been allowed
Long way to go though, so let's see what occurs!

Well, let's see what happens in the first half a dozen games, we're newly promoted and have to get used to the pace of the Prem, I'm just happy we got there, should we get taken over, which looks very likely, we may just have some money to spend rather than signing a load of rubbish in Gabbidon and Dyer.I couldn't bare to watch MOTD - too soul destroying

Amazing news today! Tango and Cash are finally gone. Owners that care, the Mittals are back on board. It is going to be a very busy 2 weeks. I expect us to sign some real quality, just a shame this couldn't have happened in pre-season and we didn't have to witness that 4-0 defeat last saturday. The future is bright!!
You R'ssssssssssss

...we've already made a bid for Scott Parker.
Indeed... it was like one of those house auction bids you make on a house you'd love to buy but you know the price is going to go much higher so you bid early anyway! £4.0 million RichB said:

We might well go down this season, we but at least we're run as a sustainable business, rather than having a sugar daddy. Teams like Stoke and West Brom have shown its possible to sustain Premiership football without the aid of a some dodgy billionaire. We have a solid fanbase that has repeatedly sold out the ground every game for the last 4 - 5 years, we have an owner who cares about the club and supports the club (we weren't 3rd choice for Delia ) we have a great set of young and up coming players mixed with a few experienced heads who are up for a fight and we're led by one of the most promising managers in the country.
Good luck for the rest of the season, and the rest of the transfer window, i think after the shambles that was Bolton Wanderers at home, you guys know the next 12 days are crucial for your club.
I think we'll both be near the bottom in all fairness, we really needed at least a point against Bolton, it was indeed a shambles, we are in dire need of some defensive quality and a few midfielders, watch this space Good luck for the rest of the season, and the rest of the transfer window, i think after the shambles that was Bolton Wanderers at home, you guys know the next 12 days are crucial for your club.
Well, I'm over the moon Fernandes has taken over, coupled with Bhatia it makes for a very promising solid future with excellent prospects, hopefully Fernandes won't need to go and stand on the pitch at half time shouting 'let's be having you' to get our boys going!
I can see Norwich being the draw specialists this year, that might be enough to keep you up, I always had a soft spot for Norwich due to my old football sticker albums, I loved their badge!
Good luck with it all - here's to a good bit of banter and some half decent results!
Oh and looks like Shaun Wright Philips is on his way to us

Do you reckon Mittal or whatever his name is, the 33% guy, is he gonna put his hands in pockets a bit more?
Amit Bhatia, well I hope so - but I think Fernandes will want to stamp his mark on the club quite quickly. It's nice turnaround for us, from nearly going into administration to having some owners who want to see the club thrive, rather than those complete tools Briatore and Ecclestone who were just to$$ers, I hope a new ground will be in their thoughts too as LR is, although a nice little ground, a bit too little and a nightmare to get parked!
