Bayern did it all last season. Guardiola took them over at their peak - there's only one way once you're at the top.

Taking over a team that has just done it all is one of the toughest jobs.

That's what I thought, classy display by Real.

If only you'd made it as a pro and were there to tell all these internationals how to defend...

I've never 'got' Guardiola. He was handed the Barcelona team and , rather than take an opportunity to build a team, he took on an already decent Bayern Munich team. How can a manager be considered great without actually ever turning a team around ?
I wouldn't say he was handed a team at Barcelona. It was Guardiola that ejected players like Ronaldinho, Eto'o and Zlatan in favour of players he had previously coached at Barco B. He made Messi the best player in the world, and carried on winning with midfielders playing as centre backs...

One thing that struck me in the last 5 minutes was how Robben and Schweinsteiger visibly gave not a single toss about being on the pitch at that moment. Okay they're beaten but to just be stood still passing between themselves with time left on the clock, as professional footballers I suspect they're in for a bking from the gaffer.

I'm glad that it was Ronaldo and co. that finally gave Bayern a thrashing! Guardiola got it all wrong yesterday, tiki taka football cannot handle the pace that Real had on the counter attack, but can any team?

I'm not sure what I'd rather see in the final, I really hope Chelsea don't win it again this year, playing extremely dull, defensive football. Athletico and Real both very exciting teams!

Athletico losing 2-0 , Could be a realistic treble for Bale & Modric's Madrid

Good luck to them I hope they do it .

Real play Valencia @ 19.00 tonight if anybody is interested.

Not so sure because in Spain don't they do it by games between the 2, rather than goal difference? In which case even though Real Madrid have better goal difference they'll still be 2nd?

Indeed you are correct sir, but Athletico play Barca on the last day of the season & they could still be in the Mix too.

So, with Real drawing.....am I right in saying that if Real win their last 2 games and Barca beat Atletico that Real will win the league?
