Same grade of performance that we put in at Newcastle - that was after the international break then too. Not sure if that has any bearing on it, maybe bad preparation, but what a shocker from pretty much everyone really. No blame on the youngsters, they can't perform every week, the seniors just didn't have it in them at all.

Pleased for Mount, Onana did ok again, but the rest were just poop. Sorry, it just felt like we were just playing with 10 men the whole game. More defensive injuries, 3 CB partnerships in 1 game and we can't even say that was the problem.

Will the real Man Utd please stand up, because we seem a bit schizo right now.

We used to hold on for three minutes before we conceded after scoring. Not any more.

Overall that was an absolute shocker of a performance. I’m sure someone will come and explain how we’re still mathematically in with a chance of CL football. Just 10 points and 20 goal difference to deal with.

We could easily have lost that match by 4 or 5
We didn't win, we were ste, we could've lost easily yes but why oh why do you still insist on having a pop at United fans rolleyes

Woohoo. A massive point gained away from home against one of the biggest teams in the PL. incredible resilience from probably the most impressive side in Manchester.

Amazing to see. And right back int ie fight for the title and CL. Only 4 more wins needed in the remaining 9 games this season to get there. Easy.

Woohoo. Family and kids and stuff were there. What a great day out loved it.

Am I doing this right?

Not United fans as a whole. Some specific United fans who are delusional. I am United through and through and love the club, I just don’t get swept up in nonsense.

I don’t expect us to win. We’re rubbish. No delusion here. Just disappointment at the rubbish being served up.

Others are a little bit more upbeat. That’s their choice. I may choose to reference the more excessive exuberance and make a point that it’ might be a bit misplaced.

More than half of the games this season have been in the same mode, much more. Yes there have been extenuating circumstances such as injuries. It's the nature of the performances, lack of effort, losing every 50-50 challenge, shots and crosses raining down on our goal, so open to the counter attack, flinging arms in the air, this, I'm afraid, lies squarely on the shoulders of the manager and the coaching staff, we are so poorly equipped to deal with a team who are up for it and highly motivated it's embarrassing.
We should have been buried tonight, as we should have on many occasions this season.

Sad really that the club is in such a mess. After the Liverpool game you would have thought that the kick start would begin.

Many false dawns, it's almost as if that Liverpool performance took everything out of them and so they can take the next 6 games off. We all want to feel optimistic and after the Liverpool game we did but we ought to have known better because we've been here so many times before.

Yep, we are suckers for it every time. It's just so damn frustrating that players that are capable of more, even under this management as they have proven, can't get it together reliably. Just got to hope now that those above (and to be above) are watching and making valid and effective plans for the summer and beyond.

We lack a leader on the pitch when things are going against us, a Robson, Keane, Buchan, it would, to my mind make a world of difference.

ETH made some questionable decisions, taking off Garnacho before Rashford and also Mainoo instead of McTominay. Bruno was trying to hard and should have been subbed for Mount early second half.
A point is far more than we deserved, with Onana being our best player and Brentford hitting the Woodwork 3 or 4 times.

I think Mainoo had missed training one day due to illness, so that might have been a part of that - but leaving the other subs so late wasn't great. It was clear where we were missing out, what needed changing even at half time, so 80 minutes before Casemiro and Mount were on was pretty surprising. The reality though was the whole front 6 needed changing really, there just wasn't enough subs left with the injuries in CB and lack of forward options.

Yup. It’s incredibly frustrating seeing how they keep grinding out results when they’re completely outplayed very regularly. Still, let’s just hope Eric Five Hag doesn’t run out of lives too quickly biglaugh

It’s actually funnier reading all the posts by many of you at times. It reminds my of Chemical aka Comical Ali back in the Gulf War and his press announcements where the Iraqi forces were winning every battle and going to win the war with ease.
