I'm not into the tribal stuff and don't read the red tops or the BBC website so in what respect is Rio Ferdinand racist?
In the plumbers twisted world, retweeting a comment that isnt actually racist makes Ferdinand a racist. According to the plumber he feels offended at the term "choc ice".

I still think we should arrange a PH footie forum 'white collar' boxing event and invite the rest of PH.

You know, for charity.

I would be bang up for that but I wouldn't consider myself "white collar".

You can't come then. And what are you doing on PH?

hehe

I'm no collar. I just wear a t-shirt. So don't think I'll be invited either.

confused Well calling Ashley Cole a "choc ice" on Twitter is pretty bloody racist.
It isnt and he didnt call him it, he laughed at it, but again dont let the facts get in the way of your stupid argument.

How you can equate that to being dropped from England, because the captain of England called your brother a "black " I will never know.

I sometimes wonder how I'm allowed out in daylight, put on a Hi Vis vest and suits everywhere treat you like dirt.

If I understand the innuendo correctly isn't Ferdinand himself in that respect a 'choc ice' too?

EP, I use the term white collar as there are special training camps in london for people not familiar with boxing which go by the name 'white collar boxing' or something.

I know, but as a "tradesmen" I feel that society in general is against me and merely sitting at a desk in a suit is enough to elevate someone above me in terms of intelligence, class, manners etc.

I've never heard the expression white collar boxing but I used to man the doors on boxing nights at the Albert Hall when chaps from London Transport provided the security an doormen. Anyway I digress smile

Don't think that's true at all. Plumbers earn top money and always busy and have a job for life so, at least I, always treat plumbers with respect. But I'm not a 'suit' so don't speak for the people you are talking about. The s.

The innuendo originally stems from the term "Uncle Tom" and was used by black people to criticise other black people who bowed down to the slave driver white man.

"Choc Ice" being a more modern version of the term with the insuation that Ashley Cole was betraying his own race for testifying in court on behalf of a racist.

Somebody Tweeted that Cole was a "Choc Ice", Ferdinand retweeted it with the words something like "Ha Ha Ha Classic"

Somehow in his brain, the plumber feels racially abused at this slur.

Seriously, I work at an office complex in St Albans sometimes and the majority of people there have the manners of a goat.

Completely yes. Because in "my brain" Rio Ferdinand was saying the there is something wrong with white people and Ashley Cole was betraying black people by acting too white.

To be fair, I'd always thought of the "choc ice" slur rather like the "coconut" one, means pretty much the same thing really. Not sure its racist though, but not particularly positive towards black people either.
