We owe them so much money that I don't think we can afford to bin them off. Moshiri has either a) run out of money or b) no longer wants to put money in to the club. I'm guessing it's the former as we all know it was Usmanov behind the scenes.
And whilst talking of our beloved (?) owner, it sounds like he's not really around much these days. I can't remember if I heard it on Talkste or the price of football podcast, but it sounds like he's absent at the moment.

Being rumoured that MSP may be back in for us as 777 deal is looking increasingly fragile. The ever blue, optimistic idiot in me has somehow decided that they’ve been playing a waiting game in the sure knowledge that 777 wouldn’t be able to get it over the line. I’ve further concluded that 777 offered Moshiri a better deal, which is why he was prepared to sell us to a bunch of shysters.
I should offer a word of caution, most of this is in my head, other than the MSP rumour which was on Bloomberg.

It'll depend when the administration is applied for. So if they go into admin before the official start of the season then it's applied to this season.
It would be better for the club to do it this season if they have to because as long as they stay up with more than a 9 point gap, then no punishment for next season.
I'm sure -9 points next season will be far more difficult to overcome because the quality of teams will be better plus more than likely have a transfer embargo as well which would suck Eggs.

I was reading about this elsewhere, while it doesn’t appear to be crystal clear in terms of EPL rules if we win this weekend and Luton lose we go 10pts clear. In theory we could then go into administration and incur a points deduction applied to this season. Not straightforward though and I suspect it would really hurt us in other ways, reputation, transfer embargo etc. It would be better for the club to do it this season if they have to because as long as they stay up with more than a 9 point gap, then no punishment for next season.

It doesn't effect players that are at the club as long as the club doesn't go into liquidation. So those on loan now would be OK to stay at the club but the worst case they leave. Which as long as Everton at clear from relegation won't make any difference. Yes it looks a bit iffy but the rules are the rules and if it states X points taken, plus transfer embargo for X years and a fine. Then that's what it is.
Not an Everton fan but have to say the idea that you get a points deduction for a breach and then additional deduction if you go into admin seems like a double punishment for the same "crime"
With this system it seems that a club could easily get into a spiral that is much more difficult to get out of.

The more I read about 777 the more I dislike their business. Reading today, Standard Leige players have not been paid for April and they have been told it will be the end of the season before they see their wages, on top of that their game last night was postponed due to fans demonstrating. A budget airline they own in OZ is in voluntary liquidation. We are in a complete mess which I fear will only get worse if they do get their hands on us.
