When he was signed I thought he was past it but Zlatan is the sort of strong character the team needs and has done well.

Good win. Overall deserved the points, but a fairly turgid performance. No pace in the side.

Pogba was absolute class.

Rojo a disgrace again. He's a complete moron.

Nice for us to score late on instead of the opposition. Important win.

Clear handball. The Palace player literally punched the ball away, don't know how the ref missed it.
Don't think the officials had their best night, let's not forget the 1st goal handball/offside & Rojo's two footer that should have seen him off rolleyes

More than that though he's a goalscorer and match winner. Great move by Mourinho to get him in and fully justifies making Rashford an understudy. Rashford will learn loads from Ibra.

Agreed on the first two points, Pogba starting to show his worth. I'd back him over anybody in an upper body 50/50 although he gave the ball away cheaply at times. All in all a really good performance though, scoring one, setting up another and almost creating a goal for Rooney.

On your final point I think you're being a bit harsh. I thought Rojo was excellent once again. Yes his two footer was reckless in the extreme but he wasn't a disgrace by any stretch. Maureen does need to have a word with him but I wouldn't want to change his game too much. I don't know if you've watched the MUTV documentary on Rojo's upbringing but he had it proper rough when he was a kid. Probably still feels he has to prove himself in every game. Him and Jones are undroppable at the minute.

I didn't say Rojo played badly. I said he is a disgrace. No professional should ever put in that kind of challenge, but he does it every game. It's disgraceful.

Pace was lacking at some points tonight, thought we could've done more damage if maybe Valencia was playing. On paper we've got an easy run of games, lets hope we make them count.

Pogba doing very well so far imo, pretty much the only one setting anything up.
Poor game so far.

Deserved lead, but an offside one nevertheless......

Although I doubt Mourinho would call that luck.
Jesus but you are monotonous!

You are entitled to your opinion - but, just to point out the bleedin' obvious, you are going to look like (even more of) a right tt if we start winning things! wink

LOL, really wink

so United currently is an EPL tittle contender ?

How freaking obvious is it that United once again will win things. It's not a matter of if, but when!!

United is one of the biggest clubs in world football today (obviously) and has been since the early nineties, not by trophies won, but in financial terms.

In financial terms the EPL is the biggest league in world football.

So obviously it's only a matter of time United will once again be one of Europe's dominant clubs. 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 ? Whatever, it's inevitable.

It's just a shame the Portuguese clown is part of it all.

My, oh my. What did he do, run over your cat?

No, its not inevitable that United will dominate European football, or even English football. Money will get you to the table, but it doesn't guarantee you will win the game.

It is however already obvious that its more likely to happen with Mourinho than either of his two predecessors and there are few if any better options, let alone options that are available.

Perhaps, instead of bhing and moaning and making st up (he never said we will win the league this season)you might consider supporting the club, the team AND the manager!

Rojo is not and never has been premier league class.

Carrick and hererra are making him look like a defender but when he is exposed he clearly is not.

my least favorite united player at the moment. over rated x 10

I think that's probably right. Centre backs are quite hard to judge because you only normally notice big mistakes or big challenges and headers - it's hard to appreciate things like positioning and anticipation (except when watching in the flesh and making a specific effort to watch them).

For me, he makes too many big mistakes to be good enough.

I don't think Deltonas is a Utd fan.

Infact I don't think he has a club, maybe that's why he likes bhing so much as he feels he doesn't belong?

confused

edit: why is bhing censored?

Deltona isn't an Abu,he's a dickwad on other teams boards as well .

Made me laugh but I read the mirror match report last night ,clearly written by an 11 year old ,who believes Jose raped his gran, and united are the offspring of beezlebub.

Rojo needs to sort his challlenges out ,but. Is it me because it was nowhere near as bad as that challenge on bailly in the first few minutes.

I quite like Rojo, as a footballer at least, not so much as a person. c.50 caps for the Argies suggests he's doing something right. He's better as a CD. He's aggressive, of course he'll mistime challenges. You show me a player that hasn't ever mistimed a tackle!

I agree with franki68, the one on Bailly looked worse but probably wasn't intentional. Rojo's looked more intentional but I think both were genuine attempts to win the ball not to hurt the man.

Rojo will be looked at v.closely now by the ref's and has to be careful. I'm sure Maureen will get on top of him.

A mistimed 2 footed lunge with both feet off the ground? No place at all for that kind of career-ending recklessness.

It was another bad one there is no doubt, nowhere near as bad as against everton though, but i didnt see this sort of outcry then? And it isnt every game as you said in an earlier post…

He does need to calm down before he gets sent off or god forbid he hurts someone, i dont think anybody including him wants that to happen.

As Mourinho said, Rojo is in the 'form of his life' and long may it continue. I've always liked him as he always seems to give 100% for the team.

I think we dominated Palace and deserved the victory, Pogba, Ibra, Carrick and Herrera all stood out for me. Disappointed we conceded (again) and if we can sort the silly defensive errors out, I think we'll mount a challenge for the top 4.

It seems we defend well for 89 minutes of each game and don't look like conceding, but have one lapse in concentration and get punished. Once we sort that out I feel the clean sheets and victories will become a lot more consistent.

He should have been sent off in 2 of his last 3 games, if that's 'form of his life' then just how bad was he beforehand?
