Michael Laudrup to Chelsea? With a bit of luck.
Why would he wanna leave a shining beacon of whats right about football to manage that cesspit?tali1 said:
De Guzman bit of a mean spirited prat for denying Dyer hat trick - Laudrup should have told De Guzman to sling his hook.
League Cup can be a curse -will Swansea's form go south?
I can see both sides of the argument though. Yes Dyer wanted his hat-trick but De Guz is our designated, specialist pen-taker. What if Dyer had missed? Stranger things have happened than a team coming back from 3-0 down...League Cup can be a curse -will Swansea's form go south?
Anyway, it was all about the team yesterday, no matter who scored. What a superb, clinical and professional performance.
Fair play to the Bradford fans - quality for the duration.
I think winning some silverware is deserved recognition for what Swansea have achieved over the last 10 years.

Not true, Laudrup: "That’s the first penalty we have had this season. I forgot to designate someone. I’m sorry, my mistake."Jackarmy100 said:

EFAQuality Performance by the Swans yesterday, I needed you to score more 2 goals though. In my hungover state I placed a 7-0 bet for 300/1
I nearly died when their keeper got sent off

Probably won't want to hear this then: Quality Performance by the Swans yesterday, I needed you to score more 2 goals though. In my hungover state I placed a 7-0 bet for 300/1

Michu added: ‘After their keeper was sent off one of their players said to his team-mates “they will score eight or nine”. I said, “Don’t worry, we will keep the ball, don’t worry”. It’s respect.’

Class if true. Swansea are a very likeable team in the way they go about their football. I love watching them play and do so given the opportunity. Fantastic achievement considering where they were only a few years ago. Hopefully this is only the start.Michu added: ‘After their keeper was sent off one of their players said to his team-mates “they will score eight or nineâ€. After being at the Hull game in which we needed to win in order to stay In the league, to being at Wembley yesterday and seeing us pla so well is like a fairy tale! I was quite glad Brenda left as he had no plan B or cutting edge, where Laudrup has given that.
And the Bradford falls were magnificent, one of them even coming to find us after the game as he lost a bet (we bet him a round we would score at least three), so respect gained there!!
European tour anyone???

Would have loved that bet to have come in for you mate!
I wish we had gone on to score more personally. Back in 1990, we played Liverpool in an FA cup 3rd round replay and they tonked us 8-0 at Anfield. Just think its what a genuine top team will do, show no mercy.
However, I'm not the most sportsman like competitor, but I can see how holding back was nice I suppose lol!
Edit to add: would love a European tour, but the wife is due to give birth to our first on August 3rd, and the two legs are scheduled for August 1st and 8th
Guess who will be watching on Channel 5

Any thoughts on tomorrow's game guys? Are you in an end of season, 'it doesn't matter cause we won a cup' type slump now?
Norwich have been so poor this calender year, not offering hardly any sort of attacking threat. Based on recent performanes, I've no idea where a goal will come from.

Shouldn't be in a slump as the word is that the players are on or close to the lowest wages in the league, but the win/final league position bonus' make up for it and then some more. We need to stop a fourth straight loss tomorrow, and it's about time we beat you on your own patch!!
I thought we were unlucky against Spurs (who time-wasted after 20 mins (oh the irony!!)).

For those of us already sick to death of the Cardiff City love-in, from today's Times:
"When Cardiff take to a Premier League pitch in August there wil lbe no suggestion that theirs is the blueprint for others to follow. Mackay came to Wales commanded to seal promotion by any means. His side as a consequence are direct and strong ,and make no bones about it.
More crucially though, it is because even as the Scot has brought order to the club on the pitch, off it, they remain something of a basket case.
Cardiff,s debt stands at £83.5m according to their latest accounts, and counting. It is testament to years of chasing the dream, of living beyond their means.
They owe Hamman, in the guise of his Langston investment Company-some £24m.Another £40m is owed to Vincent Tan,who used his influence to change the clubs badge to incorporate a dragon and switch their kit from blue to red.
It is easy in such circumstances to see why fan owned, frugally run Swansea are seen as an example of all that is right in football, and Cardiff, a club which mortgaged its future and then sold its soul, are the very opposite."
