I didn't watch the Liverpool game but can't understand where 9 mins of added time came from in one half of a 0-0 game.
The refs/VAR now appear to be trying to influence the outcome of a game, allowing play to continue when a team is in attack, often well over the time added, this needs to stop.

Completely agree with you. I checked the substitutions to see if there was anything there, there were 6 subs made, so approx. 3 minutes to be added for that, plus maybe 1-2 minutes more....The refs/VAR now appear to be trying to influence the outcome of a game, allowing play to continue when a team is in attack, often well over the time added, this needs to stop.
Not only do they add 8 mins, but they actually play 10 mins. Top teams, including us sometimes, get given every possible opportunity by the ref to carry on and keep going. 1-2 more chances seem to occur in the final few mins of added time. There is an odd expectation on the defending team that they need to keep defending beyond the time limit and it's only right and just that they will get their point(s) if they can deter one more attack, 1-2 mins past the additional time.

"Referee whose 'monumental error' gifted Liverpool Premier League title boost gets Arsenal role
Arsenal have been appointed Paul Tierney as their VAR official for their clash with Brentford next weekend despite his 'monumental error' which gifted Liverpool their controversial victory at Nottingham Forest."
You could see him vomit in his mouth as he had to give our first goal v Toon via goal line tech and not like it's been his first error this season...
Oh well time for crunching 1 nil loss tonight to make Brentford match irrelevant..."a victory on Monday night would see us win three successive away games against the Blades for the very first time." I still have flashbacks of "The Beast" mincing around at Brammal lane and a very dismal loss...

Two Forest players were booked after 90 minutes for time wasting. Which is probably why 10 mins was played instead of 8.Not only do they add 8 mins, but they actually play 10 mins...
Didn't see it but I'd imagine a bottom 6 club desperate for a draw might have had one eye on the draw for at least the entire second half, and possibly much longer.
Ref should have blew up whilst the ball was mid air, as during the RM match . Bellingham very much not impressed (his goal was ruled out) " fk off ref, what the fk was that?"
Edit: Goal was a cock up, not a conspiracy towards Liverpool. Agree that VAR could have intervened. Apparently the 4th official was reassuring Nuno that they'd get the ball back, then turned away and rolled his eyes when they didn't. They are all mic'd up...stop the bloody game (probably can't)

Showing the gulf between top championship and Premier league. These walked the championship last year with Burnley and both ,( along with Luton probably),will be going back down in embarrassing fashion. Doesn’t bode well for teams coming up. Even though Arsenal are playing some great stuff, Sheffield look like a non league team totally out of their depth.

Forest came up, spent a lot of money, bought an awful lot of players. Have had pelters from all sides about buying better players, have still struggle and are likely to get a FS deduction at the end. If you come up and sell played ala Burnley and Sheffield you are going right back down.
How are Championship clubs supposed to do it these days?
Nice win, I’d love to Arsenal win it.
Fantastic win!
Can anyone tell me why we didn’t go for double digits? I felt we relaxed a bit afterwards. I know in this situation it’s normally to show opposition “respect”, but I actually find it disrespectful to the opponent. Saying “we can score more but won’t” is a bit of a kicker really for both sides. Or am I seeing it wrong?

I agree. No mercy should be shown.
There were quite a few records broken/created last night, but the ultimate PL scoring record was there for the taking.
However, once the team was changed in 2nd half, the momentum drifted away, which is understandable.
SU could go down breaking Derby's goals conceded record if they carry on at this rate....still 11 games to go and only 18 goals to concede for the 38 game PL record.
