So we scraped past a European minnow and suddenly everything is better?

Evra woeful AGAIN, the first goal was just embarrasing, how he keeps getting picked is beyond me

Fletcher anonymous

Anderson so fat its a disgrace, you wonder what they are doing in training to not notice.

Team massively disjointed, no pattern to the play, ultra dull to watch again

As you was under a little bit of pressure nearing the final whistle, I was just wondering if SAF mentioned the disgraceful amount of time added on..

You know the trouble with United? Its got some absolutely crap supporters - always whingeing, always moaning, always looking at the negatives.

We really ought to just sack them & send them down to Wastelands or A-Field - they'll be right at home wink

No, it's not now all better...

We're suffering a little with nerves, especially at the back, but we're winning games and it's not all bad.

It's certainly not as bad as the picture you paint. Sir Alex is aware of the issues, but here again we are struggling for fit players, similar to last year. It's just the way it is.

I know that you'd rather we got beat, knocked out of the champions league and suffered a massive drop in income meaning the share price drops and the glazers exit, but me...I'm just glad that we've got 6 points out of 6 in the ECL and we look on course for qualifying through the group.

We can't play the best football all the time and if you want my individual assessment of some of the players performance tonight have a look back through the thread, I'm far from happy with them all. But they moved it around nicely and looked comfortable for the win in the end.

It actually depresses me when I read some of digikal's posts...sorry digi but it does.

What we want in this thread is more positivity and gay flirty banter...actually scrap that last bit, we need none of that.

It's not the peak of the 2007/08 season for certain, but it's not quite fallen to the Djemba-Djemba/Miller years either.

I just tell it like it is, I respect your opinion as you arent just an armchair OOTer like most on here, but even you must be able to see how terrible this United side is.

What saddens me is how inevitable it is, every game we know Evra is going to give a goal away and that the midfield will fail to perform. Ferguson has no tactical knowledge, yes we will get through this group, but the first decent team we come across we will be out. Any decent midfield will destroy ours as we have seen time and time again and yet again its not been addressed.

A win that papers over the cracks of another boring and turgid United performance.

Keep playing like this and we will be out of the title race by November.

As for the depression, I am finding it painfully depressing being a United fan, its like watching a thing of beauty being slowly destroyed before your eyes and there is nothing you can do about it.

Every season we are getting worse, I used to think it would be hard to replace Ferguson, not any more. I would have Moyes or Mourinho in tomorrow.

This is a bit weird, as you dismiss anyone going to OT as a "Glazer stooge", now if you don't go to OT then you're an armchair fan, which is what the 20,000 who boycotted are now.

SAF has always been tactically inept, but he's got luck on his side and an uncanny ability to buy the right players (along with some shockers). The midfield issue has been the case since Keane went (excluding thta one year we got out of Hargreaves), we've still won titles, albeit more by fluke than design IMO.

We've been turgid since Ronnie left and were turgid in the years before he got going too.

Possibly, but football is cyclical and we've been at the top for 20 years, look at Liverpool they're arguably just 20 years ahead of us!

I was a United fan when we were stumbling around aimlessly in midtable (and even in another division). Success isn't the only reason to support United.

Your words are those of a JCL.

Whoever comes in will only be a mouthpiece for the Glazers a la Rodgers down the East Lancs, don't wish SAF into retirement until you get your other wish around the Glazers first.

1) What I mean by that is at least he goes to games, most on here are armchair only.
2) Agree, the point being that he had a good number two alongside him, now he has a gormless idiot and since Phelan has been there we have been clueless.
3) Agreed we have been turgid in the most part since Ronnie left, although we were never as boring as we are now before he started turning it on.
4) Football is cyclical agree but this shouldnt have happened, we were in the perfect place to dominate world football for years ala Barca and Madrid, instead the owners and Ferguson have ruined this and will turn us into Liverpool II
5) Its not the lack of success, its everything about the club these days, boring perfomances, a senile manager, Old Trafford, the owners etc etc
6) Agreed, but the Glazers wont go until Ferguson goes, Mourinho wouldnt be their little bh either. If we are not careful he will end up at City. What I meant is that Fergusons time is up unless he gets a new assistant in as our performances are a joke.

You really have to wonder at the standard of coaching and analysis at the club as the errors are so obvious yet get repeated time and time again.
