Steady result.

Isak would be an interesting addtion this summer. Eddie did nothing for me last night...
I'll be very surprised if Eddie is still with us next season
So would I…not got the all round game for the way Arsenal play football.

Yeah, he's only going to improve if we play him more. Brighton have injuries but are still a tough side and can't forget them beating us around this time last season. We're a different proposition now but have to be at our best.

I'd play him for the first half and then have Ødegaard on standby.

Would like to see more of Reiss Nelson too but not sure he'll be in the team today.

ESR said he was cramping from early on in second half, I have a feeling will start similar to how we ended v Luton i.e. Tomi in for Zin, Jorg for ESR, Martinelli for Reiss so we start strong and possibly Rice in for Partey or Ode as we can't really afford to rest both against a lively Brighton team away from home.

ETA we collecting more keepers? [from Teamtalk]

Arsenal take Denmark goalkeeper on trial
According to Tipsbladet, the player in question, Lucas Martin, has been on trial with both the Gunners and Paris Saint-Germain in recent days as he looks to tie down his future.

The youngter is a free agent having left FC Nordsjaelland earlier this year and has been training with Lyngby Boldklub to maintain his fitness. They are keen to secure the 17-year-old Denmark U18 international on a permanent deal, though that plan has been scuppered by the double interest from the two Champions League quarter-finalists.

As it stands, Martin – rated as one of his country’s brighest young talents – is swaying towards a move overseas and it’s reported he will now make a straight choice between signing for either Arsenal or the French giants.

as an aside...from BBC

YELLOW CARD
Aston Villa 3-3 Brentford

Frustration for Villa. Douglas Luiz has just picked up a 10th yellow card and will receive a two-game ban. One of those games is against Arsenal.

Hope it's not going to be one of those days. Missed 3 or 4 really good chances already.

I don't think we'll win the league, but we are absolutely not the team we were even a year ago.

Real, genuine title contenders. Not in a super weak year, and not on luck. Been a hot minute.

Having spent £190m on Rice and Havertz last summer you would kind of hope that would be the case. wink

Don’t forget the keeper, (although) we’ve not paid for him yet, and timber (although he has not played).

I like Ramsdale, but prefer clean sheets.

And yet it's amazing how often that isn't the case hehe

I think we will win the league, but it will require winning all remaining games

Man City may well win all of their games

Liverpool won’t win all of their games

imo

I think there's a high likelihood of all 3 dropping points, especially if all 3 stay in Europe until at least the semi-finals.

And o another note, how was that a penalty today against Lamptey when he touched the ball first, but the Doku boot in the chest against Mac Allister when we played City wasn't based on the same rule?

You guys got absolutely done on that Doku/no penalty call. I'm not sure ours was a penalty either.

I feel like PGMOL are telling themselves "if everyone is upset with us, we must be being even handed and fair" whereas actually everyone is upset with them because they're bloody awful and inconsistent.
