New England role for Rooney, behind Kane and Ali?
I've said so for ages but its not getting much love on the england thread.jammy_basturd said:
In a perverse way I hope you do get a point from the game. Only so that Chelsea will have to give Leicester the guard of honour on the last day!
They'll have to do it anyway. I'm pretty sure once the league has been won every team from then on gives the guard of honour (I mean they don't have to, but teams with class usually do. Ah, I see where you were going there). Brilliant for Ranieri!I really hope we beat Leicester on Sunday. Top 4 still in reach if we win all our remaining games. All it will take is one more slip up from City/Arsenal OR a victory from one of the sides in their game. We are in decent form though, which as history under Van Gaal would suggest a frustrating defeat is imminent.

Don't forget you have an FA Cup final to look forward to. Oh, wait........it's not your priority, is it?selym said:

Our only hope is that they're too nervous and it works against them but I doubt it, there's been no signs of that so far. I imagine they'll be buzzing and want the win far more than us.

I cannot see Utd winning all the remaining PL games. Wouldnt that be 7 or 8 in a row? We have shown no signs of being capable of that level of consistency. It would be astonishing.
I agree with this. But City have a tough run in. If they lose to Arse, there is a real chance we could (undeservedly) snatch 4th and leave Pep with no CL next year.
Dream scenario, ManU pip Man City for 4th.
Bayern and Man City make the Champions League final.
So if Pep's current team win they ensure his next year's team are not in the CL next year. Bit of a dilemma.
(In the unlikely event Man City win the CL does that mean, 4th doesn't qualify or was that rule changed?)
It does highlight the stupidity of openly changing jobs whilst the present campaign is still under way.

I hope I'm wrong of course.

I think our style will play into their hands and they'll be much more up for it than we will with what's on the line.

I think it will depend on LVG's team selection more than anything else.
