What's that song you lot sang about a thousand times? Something about away?
There are a couple of popular ones doing the rounds at the moment, hopefully it was the 'everywhere we go, every where we goooo, its Tottenham Boys, making all the noise, every where we go. rather than the 'kick his fking head in' one.
High on excitement, low on quality. Think that game came too soon after the derbies for both teams. We were sloppy in possession, especially Mason& Bentaleb who had poor games by their usual standards. Scouse did enough to take the points I think although could have gone either way.
On the plus side, Lloris proved that he is actually human and not a cyborg sent from the future. And Dembele had another stormer and actually looks fit for a change.

how was ivanovic not punished post match for violent conduct? (would have suited us for the final)
and how many loyalty points do you think we'll need for final tickets, i'll get a ticket, but my sons only have 101 loyalty points.... worried
31,000 available so all season ticket holders should be okay.and how many loyalty points do you think we'll need for final tickets, i'll get a ticket, but my sons only have 101 loyalty points.... worried

yep, official site says all sth will get one ticket if they want it...... leaves only about 10k for members assuming 100% uptake... http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/membership/loyalty...I've just been thinking about our new stadium, and TV money.
We received £90m of TV money last season, no doubt the same or more this season, and the same or similar the season before. We've actually made a profit on player transfers over the last 5 seasons.
This is before match day revenue, sponsorship and any other income (merchandise, etc).
Where does all of our money go? I know we have built the training ground but presume finance for that was probably sorted best part of a decade ago.
I'm thinking that, in an ideal world and especially with the new TV money from next season (we should be getting £125m or more a season easily) we should be able to pay for our stadium pretty much debt free.
Am I in cuckoo land or is there a real possibility of building this thing with minimal debt?

That is the million dollar question...money is not being spent on player transfers (- a few million over the last 5 years), BUT, when you read the report and accounts there isn't a massive cash pile building up...so no clue where the money is. Well if you're posting profits, surely it's going out as divi's? Uncle Joe must be happy
The profit is only a million here and there...so it's not that either.I'm no accountant but when I read the accounts it seems that the value of the training ground was transferred onto the books and it didn't appear as a 'spend' item...so I think the same might be happening with the stadium.
Where's that resident accountant when you need one! BCM, next time you get his predictathon results see if he can have a look through the accounts and give his view?

I am - the cost of the stadium would hit your balance sheet not your profit (depending on the accounting policies you adopt), but the cost would be amortised (charged over time) to your profit, generally spread over the years of use and when you get revenue from the asset. I cannot be bothered to look but the details may be in the "notes to accounts" section of the annual report. So potenetailyl th eclub could spend £300M on a stadium bill but only release costs of say £10M per year over 30 years beginning 2016 when you move in to the new place and get the extra revenue.I'm no accountant but when I read the accounts it seems that the value of the training ground was transferred onto the books and it didn't appear as a 'spend' item...so I think the same might be happening with the stadium.

Aside from that the basic maths are - revenues up, profits not increasing, divis not increasing = costs increasing. I don't know why people keeping looking at just the net spend on transfers.
eg
Sell Bale on £50k per week for £85M
Buy 7 players for total £80M on average £50k per week
Net transfer spend -£5M
Annual costs up £15M
