It's been interesting watching the team this season when Matic and Mikel have played together. Matic does everything that I hoped Mikel would have learned by now, but you know he won't.

Both can tackle, but Matic is always looking to play forward, has great passing statistics, doesn't dwell on the ball or get caught in possession the way that Mikel does, and is comfortable playing in the oppo's 18 yard box.

OK, he (Matic) has had the occasional poor game, but he must be up there for consideration for POTY. But he's facing a bit of competition from Hazard, Costa and Fabregas I suppose.

I was hoping he would give a few of the " lesser " players a chance.

Guess it will prove if we are heading in the right direction or if the last few games have been Misleading due to the opposition.

Hopefully we will give you a good game and maybe just maybe sneak it

Nope. As per comments above... Mikel Maybe he'll watch Matic, and learn something..... Obviously we're looking to keep it tight and score on the break and/or win at the Bridge....

Really poor performance this evening. Score the goal then just let Liverpool dictate the play. Their goal has been coming and I am certain they'll score again unless Chelsea change something, namely removing Mikel.

Poor. Never seen Matic so exposed, Costa was awful, no ability to hold possession. Let's hope for an improvement this weekend and next week.

I dont understand why Jose is waxing lyrical about trying to sign Gerrard and how he's still got some to give in the prem when he let Lampard walk in the summer!

Man city have 4 (could be more) points because of Frank, I really hope they don't come back to bite us.
