Anger is in the eye of the beholder I think and you scousers just don't really understand us humans.
For example Hornet, I'll bet you often get accused by women of being angry and aggressive, but its just not true. You're the happiest chap in Britain, its just that the combination of your harsh downsy scouse voice and your blocking out of most natural light is just terribly intimidating to the fairer sex. I'll bet if you asked her, your wife didn't even realise she had a choice about marrying you
But he's Welsh, a plastic scouser if you like.

I'm not angry,we are still st but didn't get relegated. Liverpool will finish above us for the first time in years (even though we have been st for years) .Man u will finish above us but they have been crying all season. There was a bit of hope at the start of the season, but being Tottenham there was always a good chance our new signings would not work out. All in all we are a top 6 team, sometimes we will finish a little higher, sometimes a little lower.

I looked, I saw a couple of third places, a sixth, tenth, eleventh, thirteenth and the FA Cup in 91. Did you get a 'slot' for sixth?
It's hard to work out if you're being intentionally thick, so I'll just assume you're not bright in general. Liverpool's Heysel rampage kept us out of Europe. We won the Eufa cup in 1984. Heysel was in 1985. The ban was for English clubs for over five years & we were directly affected by it. So by all means carry on and don't let facts get in the way of your tunnel vision chap.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heysel_Stadium_disast...
You may have qualified in other years and been prevented from playing in Europe by the Heysel ban but your UEFA cup victory in 1984 got you a place in the 84/85 UEFA cup so that wasn't affected.

The thing is that this year we are st and we know we are.
Other years we are st but we think we are good.
Mockery about results/quality/value for money on transfers is completely wasted in this thread.

Yet at the start of the season you said this:

'anyone optimistic in thinking that Spurs are starting to look good at 25/1 to win the premiership?

Bizarrely Arsenal are still at 14'

Changed your tune a bit haven't you?

Spurs: Yes. Well done. Clap
Foreigner: You're really st

I have brought this up before and it baffles me why they continue. It's the same song win or lose. Ruins the thread and makes us all look a little stupid.

In other news Chadli is getting some stats in his favour at long last.

http://www.squawka.com/news/2014/04/09/chadli-v-su...

I figured there'd be more talk about LVG in here rather than endless trolls. Here is something pinched from the Fighting Cock forum that is pretty amusing from him.

1) I know I’m a very good coach.

2) Am I the one who’s so smart, or are you so stupid? (After a journalist had asked him a question.)

3) Congratulations on signing the best coach in the world. (To an Ajax director, after signing his first contract as coach.)

4) Louis van Gaal has nothing more to learn. (Said about himself in 2001. Later that year he failed to qualify for the World Cup with the Netherlands.)

5) No, I am the ideal man, of course. (When asked whether Eric Gerets was the ideal man to coach Belgium.)

6) The Bavarian attitude to life suits me perfectly. Why? Bayern’s motto is ‘Mia san mia,’ ‘We are who we are’ and I am who I am: confident, arrogant, dominant, honest, hard-working and innovative.” (At his first press conference as Bayern Munich coach.)

7) I have achieved more with Ajax in six years than Barcelona has in one hundred years. (In 1997 after becoming coach of Barcelona.)

8) I’ve signed a contract with the Dutch national team until 2006, so I can win the World Cup not once but twice. (Van Gaal in 2000. He failed to even qualify for the 2002 World Cup and then quit as NT coach.)

9) I’m not the kind of coach who just goes out and buys players for the sake of it. I’m a coach who wants to – and can – improve players.

10) Guardiola follows the Van Gaal Philosophy. So I’m not surprised Bayern have hired Guardiola. Bayern always hire the best managers. (Ex-Bayern Manager Louis van Gaal)

11) I cry almost every day. There’s always something that touches me.

12) I’ve never worn leggings like Robben does. I’m never cold because I’m warm bloooded. My wife says so too. We always sleep spooning.

13) If you want to, go ahead. (After a reporter asked Van Gaal whether he wanted to congratulate his former friend Ronald Koeman with winning the Eredivisie with PSV.)

14) I hope the desire to win is greater than the tiredness. But the body is less strong than the mind. And we’ve got a few wimps in this team. (Ahead of a DFP Pokal match with Bayern.)

15) Friends of the press, I’m leaving. Congratulations. (After quitting from Barcelona)

Yes, that's what people do when things change. The clue is even in my post that you quoted. "Last year we thought we were good". confused
You seem both smug and angry about this, and excited enough to stalk through my posts to prove a non-existent point. Why?
Just a quick heads-up for you - Next year if by some miracle we are really good- I will "change my tune" again. You don't need to even frantically search my posts for a time I said the opposite- you can confidently exclaim it fully in the knowledge that I will say different things when we are good to when we are st. I think that's something you people don't understand. When you are good you say "Yay we are really good" and when you are st you say "Yay, look how many things we won in the old days"

Always makes me laugh, that one BSR.

A hypothetical poster (let's call him RT as a completely random name) posts an opinion on someone. Then every time he reposts that opinion or makes a comment referring to it, everyone goes "Blah, blah, blah, same old rubbish, change the tune, blah blah blah."

Same poster then might see something that makes him think "Hmm, maybe I got that wrong" and posts that his opinion has changed and that he now believes different. The same mob then wade in claiming "You change with the wind, blah blah, no firm opinions, blah blah blah...."

Makes I larf anyway!!

The Swiss Ramble is tweeting loads of financial info about the Premier League at the moment.

Interesting to see some of the numbers.

I'm guessing it'll be on his website in due course.

ETA: My favourite so far is Net Debt. Chelsea are the lowest on the list as they don't have any debt...however the note at the bottom of the page says "Chelsea have net funds in the football club accounts, but £958m net debt in their holding company." £958 Million!!!

Man Utd are top with net debt of less than £300 Million, financial doping by Chelsea at its finest!

B-but spurs are st. You are st. Hur hur.

So Spurs are playing WBA this weekend. What's the chance of Tim getting the arse if they lose? Word from Holland is LVG is waiting to see what happens with ManU and Moyes first. If I were him I'd go to Spurs. Less pressure to perform although he has been through similar pressure and still rates himself.
