I agree with you BCM. Vardy isn't a big name star so therefore he's crap and is a one-trick pony.
I don't recall anyone saying Robin van Persie was passed it or that Ruud van Nistelrooy or Lineker were one-trick ponies (did either of them ever score outside the 6 yard area).
Take a look at this vid of every goal he scored last season if you think Vardy is crap. He has everything you'd want in an out-and-out striker. Headers from corners, good penalties, playing off the last defending, running past defenders, screamers for 30 yards out - everything.
Some people on here are either extremely ignorant or extremely arrogant.
I think you are confusing having a great season with being a great player .He had a tremendous season ,but that is not normal based on his record.Maybe he will go on and have another couple of great seasons .But there are many many other strikers out there who united fans would prefer to see. As Kane has been mentioned ...who would you rather have Kane or vardy...bearing in mind Kane roughly scored the same amount in 2 seasons that vardy had in 4 and Kane has his peak years ahead .I don't recall anyone saying Robin van Persie was passed it or that Ruud van Nistelrooy or Lineker were one-trick ponies (did either of them ever score outside the 6 yard area).

It's not arrogant ,or ignorant ,just a preference .
I'm not saying Utd should sign him, I'm just saying it's arrogant or ignorant to say he's just a one-trick pony or he's crap.
And I'm not sure you can say he's a one-season wonder either. In his last 7 seasons, he's scored more than 15 goals 4 times, more than 20 goals 3 times. His career goal rate is near enough 1 in 2.
Whether he stays at LCFC or goes to Arsenal my money would be on him to score more than 20 goals again this season.

2 seasons in the premier league. One was dreadful, one was decent. Let's reserve judgement. 24 goals is GOOD, not great. And I'm not sure you can say he's a one-season wonder either. I remember everyone ejaculating over the Falcoa singing on here a couple of seasons ago.
I certainly wasn't. Falcao had come back from a serious injury, the kind of injury that can end a career or finish a player. Its not the same deal with Ibra is it?Did anyone see the Wales game? He oozed class, like Dimitar Berbatov on 'roids and with a better work ethic. The confidence he inspired through the Swedish team was amazing to watch, they basically fell apart as soon as he went off....I for one am happy to have a talisman like that leading our youngsters to be honest, pound for pound I think Ibra is the best player we could possibly sign right now, if we can get 12 injury free months out of him I am sure he will be a massive, massive success.
Ibra & Bailly - yes please, RB and a CM next and I'll be happy Jose

He is not craP obviously ,but a one season wonder ...His average for leicester in the seasons prior to this has him with a strike rate of 1 goal every 4 appearances ,he is at his peak for the next 2 years so I think he will do ok ,but playing for an arsenal or a united will be harder for him I think.we shall see.His ratio you refer to is highly skewered by his non league record and this season just gone .And I'm not sure you can say he's a one-season wonder either. The point is the vast majority of United fans are not particular to sign him for whatever reason .

As i said before Vardy has had an amazing season and rightly won a Premier League and also got caps for England. For me he has played well in a system of Leicester sucking up pressure and allowing Vardy to hit teams on the break and use his pace. He also had Marhez, Drinkwater, Kante and Albrighton being able to give him the chances to score from. And I'm not sure you can say he's a one-season wonder either. I dont think he is technically that good, and will be interesting to see how Arsenal play him. Remember if he played for United or Arsenal teams will naturally sit back and defend more. If there is no space behind will he be as prolific as last season? He is certainly not rubbish but I doubt he will be as good once he leaves Leicester.

Sorry, "everything" is just my experience based on prior year's amd what tends to happen, especially when Madrid come calling. New contract, just to bump up the price and a promise we will let them leave.
I think he'll go sadly.
