According to Twitter we've signed Gary O'Neil from Middlesburger for an undisclosed deal for 2 and a half years. Is he any good?
Was England U21 captain but to the best of memory hasn't featured in the full IX. Must have had some tallent as a youngster though but he's 27 now. Plays right wing, so a replacment for Dyre (who?) and Berhami, never really seen him. RichB said:

Your post and Hammer67's picture caption above just reminds me (inspite of all the crap and dissapointment we have to put up) how much I love being a Happy Hammer.Compare that with the utter bile, bhiness and hissy fits on the Spurs thread in the last couple of days just because they haven't got their own way.Never quite got the WH hatred for Spurs before,in fact always had a bit of a soft spot for them. But by Christ I can see it now.
Thank God my Old Man was a proper Londoner.

I think the problem with Spurs fans is that they have the "big club" mentality, even though they've had the square root of sod all success-wise in the last few years aside from the League Cup in 2008 and a top four finish last year.
Yes, they played an amazing second half against Inter Milan but they still managed to lose that. I don't expect the world from West Ham, I think Spurs fans have a sense of entitlement their recent history doesn't allow for.

But, if you think that the cabal presently running your club are doing it for West Ham, "the legacy", "the Queen" or anything else, then you're deluding yourself.
I don't think you see anyone here "deluding themselves", the fact of the matter is that it is happening so we are getting on with it.Blib said:
I genuinely wish you all the luck in the World.
You'll need it.
Thanks, it's good to know you are thinking of us.You'll need it.
Also this isn't a personal attack on you but for a bunch of fans who didn't want to move to Stratford, you lot aren't half making a fking lot of noise about not getting it. I can sympathise though, I've had to go to host quite a few matches at WHL (my company has a box there) and it's a fking miserable experience getting there.
I'd imagine they may reduce the capacity in order to lower the weekly costs of running the stadium. I'd imagine that if there was an 80,000 capacity we'd be expected to pay for enough officers to control a crowd that size, even though according to the Spuds we'd be lucky to get 5,000.
As for we're just laying down and accepting the move, what else can we do? We're moving and that's that, rather than moan about it we get behind the decision and get on with it. I guess in East we're still a bit more realistic
