I would sooner take a one legged Ox than Cleverley.
If it's looking more like 3 weeks I'd call up Stones and sort out the right back area. He seems to get a lot of praise from all the Evertonians I know though, they practically love him and think of him as their future skipper but I haven't seen much of him.

It's a strange one...if he doesn't start ahead of Johnson for his club...should he be starting ahead of him for his country?
I hold my hands up and say I've not seen Flanagan play (maybe the odd appearance but nothing to remember).
A dilemma indeed but I think Liverpool fans would rather see Flanagan fighting Johnson for that RB birth instead of covering LB for the crocked Enrique.I hold my hands up and say I've not seen Flanagan play (maybe the odd appearance but nothing to remember).
I would at least like to see him in the squad to a) put more pressure on Johnson to perform or b) take his place when he inevitably has a mare.

Bloody Kyle Walker eh, going to be sorely missed it seems.
huge loss. Although by then Flanagan should have played enough at right back to save us all from having to watch that

According to Ian Wright Rooney will be brimming with confidence after his tap in off the post a couple of yards from the goal.
It can only be good for England.
What? My granny could have scored that goal.It can only be good for England.
Did someone tell Wilshere he was Vinny Jones, stupid reaction at the Sterling Valencia incident
Shame the Milner experiment didn't work and we are stuck with a very off form Johnson
Would it be worth Woy wisking Smalling in the RB position or will he play Magic Johnson and Milner on the right to track back and cover him?
I guess he might have played Smalling at RB against Equador if he were to do that ... maybe he will against Honduras. Smalling has played at RB for MU a lot of the season since Rafael was injured ... not with massive success but he hasn't been *that bad*

Jones would be slightly better at RB, but only slightly better. Playing him or Smalling does give you more strength in a defensive sense but they are both poor attacking wise, and cannot cross for toffee. Johnson gives more going forward but rubbish defensively.

I would have agreed with you pre-injury but right now he seems less assured when attacking , and cannot even pass to a team mate, despite his inexperience I would call up Flanagan who had an excellent season and will grace the WC with his good looksFor those of you who ain`t been following Ross Barkley that closely, this is what the lad is capable of. He needs to be a bit more consistent, his tackling is near on none existent now after his double leg break, which threatened to end his career. So don`t expect him to be diving into tackles.
This World cup may have come to soon for him, don`t forget if Moyes was still Everton manager he would have spent another season out on loan, in the championship, sorting out his defensive side.
Martinez just lets the lad play.

He's the most exciting talent in English football for me. If I was a club chairman id be offering everton a blank cheque for his services.
