There's 25 players n a squad. There's bound to be one or two who feel hard done by. All the press need is one to break ranks.
True

I think TS were using a quote from a first team player though

It's gone way too far now. It also makes it harder for Ref's to give Chelsea the benefit of the doubt.
If our players hadn't surrounded the ref begging for Lucas's dismissal, I'm sure Clattenburg would have sent him off. But the moment they all come rushing in, and Mikel waiving an imaginary card, then he's thinking "if I send Lucas off here, it'll look like I was weak and caved in to player pressure."

So whilst Lucas should have gone, I find it hard to feel that angry about it. We got what we deserved in that situation.

I thought anyone making the yellow card book him gesture automatically got a card themselves ... Or was that a few years ago?

There's just an element of schadenfreude about Maureen and the current situation ...sometimes he's just too clever for his own good. Who knows what goes on in the dressing room or amongst the players or what they think of the manager?

His antics on the touch line and in interview are frankly bizarre, all started by the Eva thing. It's really hard to find any sympathy for him.

Talksport reporting that an anonymous Chelsea player has stated he'd rather lose than win for 'him' eek
If it is true then that says a lot about some millionaire ahole who should be hated by all fans.
That report is from the BBC's Gary Richardson on Sportsweek yesterday.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-...

‘Let me tell you what I know on the Chelsea story. My information comes from a Chelsea first-team player.

‘The information was actually passed to me by a football contact. I was told that Jose Mourinho’s relationship with many of his players is at rock bottom.

‘I was told they’re fed up with the way he’s been dealing with some of them. They’re fed up with his outbursts. I was told that his relationship, particularly with Eden Hazard, was under immense strain.

‘Here’s a staggering quote. One player said recently, “I’d rather lose than win for him”.

‘Now that last quote may well have been said in the heat of the moment, but it perhaps gives an insight into the mood of some of the players.’

If that is true, it's absolutely pathetic of the player in question. In any walk of life, you should work to the best of your ability, as long as you are fairly remunerated for it. And the Chelsea boys are pretty well paid the last time I checked.

And yes, waving an imaginary yellow card falls under the category of "unsporting behaviour" which is a yellow card if the ref sees it. It also usually results in the player who should have been booked getting off with it as the ref can't be seen to fall under the influence of the players on the pitch.

As a Liverpool fan who detests Costa, I think it would be harsh for him to get a 4 match ban for the kick on Skrtel. Yes it was petulant and stupid, but it wasn't really violent conduct, it was never going to harm Skrtel! I understand the 4 match ban would be due to a history of offences, but I still think in this case it would be harsh.

Costa is a scumbag but also agree it was something of nothing.

Just a cheap shot as revenge for Skrtel's forearm smash on him and Skrtel wasn't too bothered.

I genuinely think it started to go wrong at Chelsea when you sold Cech to us. That move took place against the wishes of Maureen who didn't want him to leave and certainly not to us or any other 'rivals'.

This was followed up with a very poor pre-season then in the second or third game you had the Eva incident. It seems Eva was well liked and respected in the dressing room and the treatment of her has allegedly caused a split in the camp.
I think it all started with Eva. Lost of rumors about her having affairs with some of the Chelsea players. There is more in that story then Maureen being seeing her as unprofessional, perhaps he wasn't happy with her and his players behavior and that game tipped him over the edge.

I expect more to come out of that story.

The Costa thing really was nothing, This is getting just Crazy , if we were to scrutinise every tackle or coming together of two players then there would be bans & fines left , right & centre.

You kind of get the impression the FA would prefer a game without tackling , lets just get on with the game.

I'm not one to usually believe in all these rumours, but if there was some sort of relationship between her and Hazard it would explain a lot!

I've heard it was between her and Oscar, he almost left in the summer and I remember wondering why as he is one of our best players.

Seems to fit that because Oscar didn't go then she had to as one of them had to.

Anyway watching the last half an hour on Saturday said it all. No get up and go and no plan B. Woeful stuff.

Indeed. Now she's lodged proceedings in court she can demand all e-mails ever sent about her by any member of the club at any time. She's going to be a very rich lady!

Goes like a train, but sounds like a massive case of the mental as well, which isn't untypical in females that way inclined.

Seen by the ref, so no retrospective action can be taken.
