25 point haul, after spending 12 iirc.

Still got my FH and BB to play before season end, targeting mid table mediocrity.

5 points for me. I took a -12 in order to save get some players in and also save the free hit for a double gameweek. Think i've shot myself in the foot though.

I ran with only 5 players and I ended up with 10 points. Although there is someone who used the free hit in one of my leagues, and they only ended up with 19 points anyway. The gameweek was a complete waste of time really I thought.

Someone wildcarded in my other league for 20 points… what a complete waste biggrin

That's nothing. One of the guys in my works league did free hit, got 19 points and filled the bench up with Fulham players.

They would have got him thirty points....

I wildcarded - but only those players who I think are good bets moving forwards while swapping around some players.

Ended up on 35 points which was pretty good I think compared to others, and means I have closed the gap on the leaders across my leagues.

You can't look at it in isolation like that. A WC is about building your team for the next "n" upcoming fixtures not just a single gameweek.

A Salah blank would be a thing of beauty this week after Everton wiped out my back line…

Isak has been a good wildcard entry for me last week. Problem is Watkins is injured and my mini league rival will swap him in now too. Could do with a few goals from Darwin instead of Salah tommorow!

A couple of up and down weeks for me. A Free Hit on GW29 netted a measly 20 points (with 21 on the bench!), followed by 71 points in GW30 where captaining Palmer paid-off. It would have been better had Ake and Watkins not been injured before the 60-minute mark.

Had to take a -4 this week with the injuries to Ake and Watkins, Gordon suspended and two others with doubtful markers.

I presume 4-5-1 is a valid formation for the bringing on of substitutes.?

A forward didn’t play and defender is first sub.

Likewise. Big shame I didn’t put the VC on Foden though

After a season of making terrible decisions, I was due one good one. No Haaland and Foden as VC brings me 40 points..... so I might just scrape past 50 points now. hehe

That is a cracking result, nice one! thumbup

Foden is the only player to do anything for me in this gameweek too, and the rest of them have been absolutely pants for sure!

This game drives us all mad I reckon, but we all still seem to battle on though at least. smile

I still enjoy it warts and all for definite.

So true mate. The number of times I've been down in the dumps at my team's performance, yet I know come late July that I'll be putting in the hard yards with some coffees and chocolate digestives wonndering how I'll get the most from my budget.

63 points with Palmer to play. I captained Isak instead of Foden but still a decent week for me.
