Pretty relaxed about the Norwich game, and the Newcastle one, both teams seem to have imploded somewhat.
Chelsea and Palace are concerns for me.
Not so worried about Chelsea, their defence lacks pace and they don't have the firepower that say man city did to get them back in the game. It will be a tough hard game, but i think we can win that.Chelsea and Palace are concerns for me.
Palace is the real worried, Pulis done a fine job, and we have not the best record against him.
Nothing is won yet, and i do think in the next 4 games we will drop some points, the question is will city and chelsea?

Skrtel is playing really well imo (apart from when defending corners) his goals have helped massively this season.
I just hate the way he feels obliged to gift a goal everytime he knocks one in.... We are vulnerable at the back but anyone can see that, we're just going to have to hope we can outscore the opposition... It's a bit late in the season to fix our defensive frailties now IMOSuarez did look like he was so hyped for occasion that he was losing his head in the second half, let's hope the players can hold their nerve and handle the pressure for the last four games - massive result yesterday though....

I expect Chelsea to be dour and boring and park the bus and defend well, and beat us one nil.

I agree, I think the Chelsea game will be very difficult to win, and can easily see a loss/ draw with them. The problem with Liverpool is we need to get the first couple of goals (3 against the top teams) in the first half, or it can go wrong. After that we normally get nervous/ tired and then drop back. When they drop back everyone just seems to stand around and wait for someone else to do the tackle. Thus we concede lots of goals. If we keep pushing higher up the pitch no issue, it's just once they start dropping back you know it's a matter of time rather than if. I think the first goal will be massive - if we get it then it should be ok, if Chelsea weather the storm and get it then we're in big trouble.I like JM but fk me his football is boring.

I didn't see the full game, but in my mind all season those two have really, really worked for each other. I think he just showed a bit of inexperience yesterday and the pressure of it all got a bit 'wooahhh there' with him. Desperate to score to prove a point. Playing like a beast and creating goals for Suarez would be just as impressive in my mind. He's still been bloody brilliant this year though.
Really, really hope he isn't out for long and it was just a light knock or something. I can't see Hendo going down to 1 match. I can totally see why he did that tackle, again, pressure on our position.
I thought Gerrard showed his class at the end, this clearly means everything to him.
I have to say, the last 4-5-6 games I don't think the SaS partnership has been firing on all cylinders. I think Suarez started going after the record goals tally in a season and he's just not been on it lately. That seems to have translated into Sturridge being a bit more selfish too. SaS have now failed to score in just two games all season, but those two games have been the last two games we've played!Really, really hope he isn't out for long and it was just a light knock or something. Sturridge's mind was somewhere else today for definite.
He had a lot to prove today to a team that thought he wasnt good enough but possibly the occasion was too much for him, I hope he came off because of this and is actually ok - he will be back to his deadly best for Norwich.jammy_basturd said:
What concerns me about Chelsea is the Man City / Chelsea game a few weeks ago!
But back then didn't Chelsea kinda have to go for the win - weren't City going to have a few points lead if they won or it was a draw. So they played on the break and nicked a goal - classic Maureen tactics. How he must regret parking the bus at OT early on in the season little knowing that Utd were just not the team they were under SAF ...City were rattled yesterday by the lightning start and even after Toure went off were able to claw their way back into it second half after realising 2-0 down was not doing a lot for their title chances.
A draw would be no good for Chelsea against you lot - but would obviously be good for City - if you were just you and Chelsea fighting for it - it would be fine - but City ight sneak up again on the inside. SO you ahve to go or the win - I don't expect you lot to play any differently to yesterday (first half). You've got where you are by playing attacing football - now is not the time to regress to a different tactic. I think if Chelsea go two down early on it is over for them - I can't see them coming back like City.
The Kompany mistake yesterday was just what you needed - maybe not deserved - but these things bits of luck happen. Moe than cancelled out the Johnson/Mignolet foot deflections that had happened a bit before.
Go and win it for every neutral in the land ... and Gerrard - his reaction yesterday was superb and brought a tear to the eye.
But Chelsea would HAVE to win against us to have any shot at the title. I think most people are looking at the remaining fixtures and are expecting City to have a tough time with Everton. So JM is going to be looking at that thinking his only shot of getting back in the title race will be to win at Anfield.
I fully agree though, the only way to set up against Chelsea is the same as we did against City in the first half yesterday. I can't see Chelsea's forwards getting them back in the game at 2-0, but then I think Chelsea are going to be harder to break down. Depending on injuries...

True, I said that - Chelsea have to win really at your place. Can they produce the goods again as they did at the Etihad? Ideally you can blow them away in the first half. but Maureen is a wily ol' fox and he'll love nothing bette than putting a spanner in the works - and probably handing City the title in the process, although their game at Goodison is no gimme. All building up ...

To be honest I think every team has to win their games now - if it was just 2 teams you could potentially aim for a draw on one match, but since there are 3 it's less likely both other teams will slip up. I really don't see why people are writing Chelsea off - all they need to do is win at Liverpool and for Man City to slip up somewhere. Not too likely apart from potentially Everton, but they do have a couple of extra games and therefore more chance of having a problem. It's going to be a crazy few weeks! Just hope that Chelsea get impacted by the Champions League games they have to play!Adam B said:
Oh do shut up!
Unless this is an intentional wind up, in which case - oh do shut up!
Not a wind-up, meant to be working up in Liverpool last two weeks of May so ill stay up for the weekend. However, if theres a parade happening one of the weekends, well i know what Newcastles like when they have a 1730 kick off and the night out after is like - id like to avoid the cockfest that follows Unless this is an intentional wind up, in which case - oh do shut up!
