I've seen him do this after other games always ensuring it goes to a youngster which is nice.

When they missed their pen, I said to my mate that we'll go on and win this now. Proud to be a Hammer today.
Was up at the NEC and looked at my phone at 4.20ish and you were 2-0 down ... thought, ah, no chance of them overhauling Manyoo then ... couldn't believe it when I found out the score later.

Ok guys, a couple of highly unlikely hypothetical dilemmas.. what would you choose?

1: Qualifying for the Champions league by coming 4th(not 5th), or winning the FA cup?

2: When we play Leicester the scenario being that if they beat us they win the league at Spurs expense, but it means we can't make the top four..... or we beat Leicester, which means Spurs win the Prem' but we get 4th!!

I can't believe we are in a position where I can viably type those scenarios!

1) If we could make Champions League I would take that over FA Cup - it would really put us on the map, BUT I would rather FA Cup than Europa, I think the Thursday night would affect us in the league next year (although it hasn't Spurs this season!).

2) Painful but I would rather beat Leicester - regardless of outcome should always want the Irons to win!

As for scenarios we could technically make 4th spot, win FA Cup and Spurs come second :-)

I would prefer Champions League to the FA Cup and as said previously, I always want the Hammers to win even at the expense of Leicester not winning the League.

As Spurs are 5 points behind Leicester, I'm not convinced by your assumed position of "King Maker" hehe

FA Cup over CL for me please.

Always want WH to win, painful as the ramifications might be.

FA Cup all day long.

Winning the best cup comp in the world beats finishing 4th in the league and warrants a proper piss up.

No-one remembers 4th placers.

1:I'd take the Champions league spot for the first time ever over winning the FA cup.
2: As above, if Leicester don't win it I'm happy for Spurs instead to break the Status Quo if we get a CL spot as well. Never quite got the Spurs hate thing.
Either way, we are West Ham... so none of the above will happen!

CL at the OS would be amazing, but I highly doubt we would qualify if we finished 4th. Give me the FA Cup please, I still haven't properly gotten over Cardiff, that was a tough journey home.

In what respect? I've never really looked at CL qualification process. Isn't it the top 4 automatically?

4th place finish is a play-off ... usually against some rank opposition over two legs.

Just imagine that Champions league music blaring out in the new stadium as Real come to Stratford .

Champions league In my opinion is killing football but it's where we all want to be.

The FA cup is pretty pointless these days, sadly.

It's far from pointless. It gives a good wodge of money to the lower league clubs should they get a decent draw to the third round, TV money etc. Football ain't just about the Premiership although I bet your Prem club supporter never even looks at the results lower down ...

BBC hype this thing up as being a thing of the giant killers, with footage of that fking 1988 final again and again, Montgomery's save, Herefor, Sutton etc, and then go show us Chelsea v Man City ... a game you can see in the Prem ANY weekend ... rubbish.

It's pointless to the Prem clubs as it is 'just another cup' ...

If not Leicester I hope it's Spurs. I have no animosity towards them & it's a new name on the trophy.

laugh first post after 69 months! Welcome!

And Rich, it's only top 3 that qualify for the group stages, 4th place goes in to a play-off game to qualify.
