Never ever complain about bad refereeing decisions against manu again; Herrera should have gone for that tackle on Allen.

Could have been red ,but we've had at least 3 of those on our players go unsuitably punished this season so don't cry about it.

Getting bossed a little by Stoke in this second half. Think you're missing Fellaini in midfield.

Three tackles, like that, on your players this season? I don't reckon you did....and nk-one is crying.

We should've finished it in the first half. Feels like a loss.

Right, everyone likes a bit of banter but I'm being deadly serious here. You've had three managers since him; Moyes who wasn't good enough/not given enough time or resources, LVG who had all the experience and was regarded as a master of the game, but seemed like he was playing a previous iteration of football, and now you have 'the special one', who wins trophies wherever he goes and has the most expensive player in the world, the best keeper in the world and numerous other 30-50m players.
If you can't achieve with all that then perhaps its time to accept that your time at the top table is over?

There's massive improvement, was a very good performance today but we just didn't take our chances. We had 10 shots on target and if it wasn't for their keeper it would've been a comfortable victory.

Very negative after we scored. He should above replaced Harry and put Fella on.

Pogba still not looking the part.

You know it's desperate when 2 pies comes on. Anyway another good mis control by Rooney for the goal.

Their time at the top table isn't over, it never will be with their resources and allowing for the way the game is structured, but they no longer sit at the head of the table, they sit down one side or the other (along with about six other clubs) ... who can all beat one another on a given day.

Man United after 7 games:

Under Louis Van Gaal 2015/16 - 16 points

Under Jose Mourinho 2016/17 - 13 points
They've had an easy start to the season too. Imagine if they'd had our start!!
Indeed. Football under LvG was better as well; like today still lacking in pace but more organized, plus without the constant excuses, insinuations and pointing at others including players.

And compare ManU's match today with Tottenham's; organisation, effort, pace, tactics, coherence. It literally is night and day.

ManU should get rit of Woodward, he seems to be doing a great job in marketing, but not so much on the footballing side of things. And it's mainly midfield where ManU is losing the battle. Get rid of Rooney, Felliani and Mata.

The top table isn't the top of the table ironically, its competing in the league AND European competition. Once upon a time they could beat the best in Europe on a Wednesday and come back on a Sunday and beat pretty much whoever turned up. Much the same as the Liverpool side and supporters of the 80s,this fact will take a while to sink in.
The team has had a few big money players through the door that haven't performed, and some managers the same. Some players have been made big money players as a gamble that doesn't pay off. What is left to blame?

Man Utd were good in the first half. Stoke were dreadful and made Utd look better than they were.

For 20 minutes at the start of the second half Man Utd dropped the pace and Stoke were right in the game. Stoke always looked dangerous anytime they got forward. They also had a few great chances that have been ignored.

Pogba was awful. He should have had 3 goals today and looked to have real issues even controlling the ball. There's little point of arguing where on the park he should play, or who should play alongside him, when he's unable to even get the basics right himself.

Herrera should have been off.

I can't see that Utd team getting in the top 4.

I went today in the away end and it was my first time at Old Trafford.

I have to say its the biggest club ground in the country but it was so quiet. Not a dig by any means but whats happened to the home support? I never heard them until the goal went in, is it a case of Man Utd are now a brand and a tourist attraction apposed to a football club?

I have huge respect for Utd and what they have achieved in the last 20 years or so, but without a loud home crowd they are already at a disadvantage.

Depends where you sit. Very loud if you sit among the fans rather than corporates or families.

Blunt as hell today. No excuses.
