Watching us it’s hard to see much positive but I will make a case for ETH . I would say the 3 most important players in the team are Bruno ,shaw and Martinez and 2 of those 3 have basically missed the entire season .No team including city could absorb missing their 3 most important players over an entire season (look what happens when Rodri doesn’t play ) never mind all the other injuries .
That does not excuse some of the terrible selections , tactics and bad in game management we have seen though .
They really need Berrada and Ashworth in the door ASAP. Apparently Berrada starts mid-july but god knows about Ashworth.

Will be interesting to see what their stance is on the current squad, and what changes need to happen. Given the state of the wages / contracts i wonder how ruthless they will be on clearing the decks.

As a Palace fan, all I can say is a huge thank you to United for the past two weeks.

I have never been so pleased to see United win away as I was yesterday. biglaugh

I agree with many, let’s just be civilised and grown up about our differences. We’re all hoping for the club eventually turning that corner.
In the meantime, let’s just enjoy whatever small positives there are and keep smiling. I saw this today and had to laugh:

Not everyone's favourite player, but a nice way to spend 30mins. Neville interviews Onana https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ttxTwBvzcI

Looks like Rashford has been left out of the Euro squad....and rightly so.

Couldn't they find him a spot in the canteen?

Yep, he can't really argue it. Needs a big performance at the FA cup final now to maybe put him in the window which is good for us I suppose. Glad to see Mainoo looking like he's in and I'm surprised about Shaw but if it wasn't for lack of left backs he wouldn't have a chance. Is he one of the players Rooney was referring to when he said some players are feigning injury...?

Don’t know but it’s peculiar how Varane is fit again so near the cup final .

Yeah, it would have been a bit nuts if he was included given the way things have gone of late with form and Injury. Hopefully it's a bit of a wake up call for him to assess what is going on, why and what he needs to do about it. Whether he does or not who knows, but I hope the club are trying to help with that.

Shaw being picked is a bit of an odd one, but I suppose if fit he is England's best left back so got to give him a chance - it would be a bit much seeing him turn up though given how much we've missed him pretty much all season.

Good luck to agents Mainoo and Maguire though. Hopefully they can upset Gareth with tales of our woes and not let him have any thought whatsoever about joining us.

That is really interesting. Sacked or quit matters not. He’s still a top manager and was a lot of people’s choice when we took ETH instead. De Zerbi to Chelsea? He can follow up on the excellent work Potter did there.

Mutual consent apparently. No doubt he will be heavily linked with us.

Personally I hope it’s more than being heavily linked. His philosophy at Spurs fits exactly what we’re hearing from INEOS about spend limits and youth.

Bayern being on the hunt for a new manager might put a spanner in the works though.

Surprised at that one, they were just pulling it together.

I thought the same, they had a terrible start, but towards the end of the season they looked to be playing pretty well and starting to look like a team. Odd time to get rid of the manager.

It's odd, I thought with the RDZ leaving and high confidentiality it might be something to do with us (wasn't over the moon about it, either) but this may actually be why.
