Never a penalty and my prediction of 1-3 wasn't far off.

Dont understand how we can play like that against city but have been absolute ste in the past four games.

There were more than two.

In any case, those celebrations and chants would have gone well with a home victory against Arsenal and meant they potentially ended any title hopes, but totnum were 0-3 down by half time.

Arsenal deliberately lost 2 games against Villa to deny Spurs a CL place, even though it cost them the title.... despicable club/fans, grrrrr.....etc.

Gpwm, still there's always next year. I doubt if their tears would have dried up by then though.

Such a weird fan base. Their thread is a skip fire of we won nothng again & it's Spurs' fault. Bunch of illogical poindexters.

This past week has been utterly Bizzare. I think I set my stall out earlier that I don’t care about consequences of tne result and I want us to win every game.

But the way some fans have gone and then the media pile in like it was down to us to ruin Arse’s season? That somehow we’d roll over for city? Like somehow us an Ange would be held accountable for the result? It’s been a week of utter nonsense.

If they wanted to win the league then they should have been better, they lost to West Ham at home, a month ago it was obvious they were happy with a point away to city and Villa did the double over them. And they have spent a fortune to not get any better than last season, that must be eating them up inside.

On the subject of villa though, you have to congratulate them, they stayed the course and get the reward of CL footy, what a job Emery has done there. Hopefully we don’t have our usual end of season beach towel moment for the last game, Sheffield United have conceded 101 goals this season, even we should be able to add that number.

City were strange in the first half, very nervous, no width. Even after they scored they didn't look themselves, until after they got the second.

Didn't think it looked a penalty on replay, but VAR must have checked wink

How did Ortega get man of the match and not Vicario, made some blinding saves

At least we didn't throw away a 2 goal lead like some this week biggrin

Very good point about the draw they had at City

That game was there for the taking and they didn't push on

City haven't been up to usual standards and Arsenal should be kicking themselves for not taking advantage, as city won't rest on their laurels.

Some of the most disgusting posts I saw last night, I hope PH report the matter to the police, as it is a hate crime.

Back to football matters, the spurs players put up a fight so that was good. The spurs fans didn’t really believe they would get into the champions league, so saw more enjoyment in Arsenal fans crying.

Every fan in the country would rather lose a “nothing” game than have a rival lift the league, anyone denying that is in denial themselves.

However what casts a shadow is the fact there was still half a chance to get that 4th spot and get some additional revenue / profile / increased attractiveness for potential transfer targets Suspect that lack of belief is what annoyed Ange.

Liverpool fans doing what they've done consistently over the years on here unfortunately, nothing will be done and they will be back. there's at least 4 or 5 current posters on that thread who have previously been banned for exactly the same thing. God knows why they saw fit to invade here though, not like it had anything to do with them.

On to the game im not sure why people have their knickers in a twist, thought we gave it a good go, atmosphere was good, sonny scores that chance and its a different game.

Yet another poor pen decision, what an absolutely bizarre year of referring we've had

I’m sorry but it’s nothing to do with what club he claims to support. It’s about someone being an utter and a terrible human being. I’m a Liverpool fan and it was a disgusting post which he put in multiple places across the forum and I hope PH come down hard on him and report him to the police as they should!

I rarely come in here (or the Liverpool thread) - were the other posters you mention as overt as last night?

Agreed and I would just say that the liverpool fans I met in Madrid for the CL final were a nice bunch. A liverpool fan invited us into a bar when we were looking for a place to watch it, they were a really nice bunch (and we were the only spurs fans inside), outside of the ground in the various bars there was no trouble and whilst there was banter it was all good humoured with no aggression.

It's always a few wing nuts that latch onto a club that spoil it.
