I want a dyno graph with 1000bhp on it.
I take it you'll be running nitrous oxide to achieve that?!

Might not have to run N2O. I think Simon said his turbos are good for 500++bhp each.

Loads happened, Minor issues found but costing valuable time to sort.

I only mapped it to 0.5bar as the fuel pressure fluctuated and the syvecs ecu which is monitoring fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temp, among other things cut the engine due to the fluctuation on the next run after the 0.5bar.
So airing on caution I ordered up two bosch 044 pumps which went on yesterday.

Mapped to 0.9bar last night and plug misfire, confirmed by lowering the plug gap and the misfire moved to 1.1bar.
On the eg33 the newage coils dont just fit you have to alter them, current method is not giving a strong enough spark.
So need to alter all the coils to fit and try again or try different coils.

One run at about a bar

It had a misfire at more more boost it was a run to check. About 6500 in that run.

sti 6 speed box must be takening some hammer with that sort of power, it wont be worth a lot when you have finished with it

When I breaks I will be putting a gearset in it.

Need a casing to put it in.

Misfire sort I believe. Took it out to check once coils changed smile
Spool is ridiculas - bigger turbos wont be an issue.

Simon, Just a thought about your coil packs.

Newage STi coil packs have a longer dwell time than WRX coil packs.

STi coil packs will take an even slightly longer dwell time than standard too for a stronger spark which i'm sure you're able to adjust on the Syvecs. I do this on some newage ECU's for those running a bit more power than the usual mods/tune, just have to be careful not to up the ante too much otherwise you get burnt out coil packs.

Not trying to teach you to suck eggs or anything as i'm sure you know this anyway, but i find it helps to mention in case you've maybe missed it.

Lmfao.

The newage coils dont just fit this engine they need modification to fit.
Now on modification mark 2.

Dwell time made no difference it was nothing to do with the issue

LMFAO....I realise newage coil packs need to be modified and don't just fit. I wasn't trying to be funny.

I thought you'd already modified your coil packs first time around and you mentioned that maybe there wasn't sufficient juice to fire the plugs properly. Didn't know if you were using WRX or STi coil packs and i mentioned dwell to increase the coil packs charging time for a stronger spark if you're able to adjust that.

You obviously have a different problem smile

The recesses are two small for the coil to fit and the bolt holes are wrong for four cylinders.

So they were spaced out a little and the plug ends extended.
I think the extensions were adding resistence or the rubber didnt overlap the plug enough and the route to head was easier than jumping the plug gap when on boost.

I think the wrx / sti charge time difference is a map setting between wrx and sti maps but the coils are identical except the colour.
The size of the metal coil are identical and therefore the spark stength.
If I recall correct the sti dwell time is higher therefore you could assume they expect the spark requirement to be greater. If the coils were better on the sti it would be lower dwell time.

Physically remodeling coil packs certainly isn't my bag. No doubt it'll be another added skill to your already wide repertoire.

I wish you the best with that.
