Hi, washed my RB5 yesterday and as i closed the boot i could hear that there is water trapped inside the actual bootlid.

I dont think there are drain holes so how can i get it out? I can only assume it gets in where the spoiler is attached to the boot.

Thanks

Right, i had a proper look yesterday, the water it not stuck in the bootlid but in the bottom of the rear wing, i can only think it somehow gets in where the brake light is fitted in the wing.

I unscrewed 5 of the allen bolts holding the wing but have rounded off the allen key head of the last one. Anyway this eventually released most of the water and i wd40'd the holes and allen bolts and refitted them.

Ideally i would like to remove the wing completely to replace the bolts with stainless or similar so the dont one day corrode causing an issue. Problem is how to get the rounded off one out? There must be a sleeve attached to the wing where the bolt goes in but if i drill it out i am concerned i will knacker the sleeve or melt the wing somehow. Any ideas?

After that i woukd like to put some kind of sealant around the brake light to stop water getting back in, what would be best to use?

Any help much appreciated. Thanks

You could try using a bolt extractor

Tried that to no avail. Going to just pay someone else to sort it for me.
