We live in Shropshire so headed up to the top of the Long Mynd to watch it, yes it was busy but it was definitely visible to the naked eye but the camera pics were amazing.

I still want to go to the arctic circle to watch them though!

Red alert last night, went out of town at about midnight and had some faint activity mostly green a bit of purple. I would have thought those in dark areas might have got some pretty good views.

With last night’s high kp values they would have been quite visible here in the NE Scot.

…..if it wasn’t for the thick rain clouds above our house!

It is. It’s been pinging off 700 for a while. My iPhone is already picking up colour. Might go out with the proper camera now.

Looks like the whole of the UK is reporting aurora right now. Even Jersey.

Except here near Winchester it is completely cloudy...

Took this outside my house in MK

Not as bright as last time, so I went down the farmers field where I got some decent pics last time, can hardly see it

People are getting a lot better pics in MK though.

Sod all here in Essex. But I can look at other people's photos of sky, both here and on FB, with vague bits of purple in them and go 'woot'.

So, that’s the best I’ve ever seen it. Colors very visible to naked eye tonight, unlike sometimes when it looks like cloud.

Not much movement but it really showed the spherical apex. Most light, like the last big one was in the south. Super cool, mesmerized!
