I had a long chat with the previous owner and he hasn't touched anything, well he would say that, and he said he never knew there was a fault, well the indicator light on the dash and the relay clicking faster would be hard to ignore when turning right.
As i said before i can prod basically anywhere on the melted pink wire and put 12 volts through it and the indicator bulbs light up!So i think the integrity of the wiring seems to be intact throughout the car,a short would definetly be a possibility but the fact this wire is capable of carrying voltage all along the car is guiding me to the bcm.
I'm going to try and solder in a new indicator relay in the bcm.

A very unsuccessful update, bought a used donor body control module, took indicator relays off it and soldered them onto mine.First off 'both' sides indicators now don't work, and as an extra bonus the keys now aren't recognised!
This second fault surprised me,yes if you just bung in a complete new Bcm into a car you're going to have to program it in on most vehicles, but replacing two relays??Bit fussy if you ask me.
