How the hell do you keep them clean in this weather? having said that I spent an hour with a hose and brush today cleaning the unit. Not when this pic was taken though.

We use the A3 a lot, either going into London or down to Portsmouth.

I see a lot of M.J.D Premiums, EU11 plates. Our yard exits straight out onto the A3 Northbound south of Guildford, so e can't go anywhere without using it.

Are you guys thrown random keys or generally assigned your own truck?

We are assigned our own truck, however if the night driver isn't back in time we get given anything. Also agency drivers have them at weekends and they don't look after them. It's a never ending job trying to keep them up clean and up together.

We've now got a chilled foods company with a small satellite depot on the edge of our yard (8 trucks, 4 chillers/bays), yesterday one of their agency guys drove a 58-plate P320 into a parked truck in a layby at the side of the road, lost the mirrors, scraped the cab and wrecked the chilled box. Needless to say that we don't use Agency drivers anymore.

Is your yard on the left with an electric gate and long drive that looks like it goes to a farm?

That would be correct.

It sort of does, offices, our transport yard and an aggregates/tipper hire yard behind.

always thought it looks a bit of a posh place, well kept and all. Cut green grass fields and a name plate on the fence outside. Wondered what it was.
