Any others that do continental journeys realise that the charge we put on visiting lorries coming over here is not enough .
I did a trip last week to near Nuremburg and just the motorway tolls in Belgium and Germany came to nearly £100 !
The Belgian toll started on the 1st of April which can be done via a smart box .
Unless you have a factory fitted one for Germany it has to be done via pre pay ,must be done at the nearest available point before joining the motorway and you must use the declared route and exit at the declared junction.
I am glad I don't venture over the other side that often .
Those taking anything commercial over 3.5t to cicuits over there should check before travelling.
The fine in Germany for transgressions is €175 .

It's not like many countries where you can progress without having to use motorway routes ,those with the new tolls all have weight and time restrictions off the motorways .
The evening meal in the Autohoff was better than anything I have had in a services in the UK ever .
We still lag way behind most of the continental countries .
.1000+ miles of motoring with only 4 miles of roadworks, not something that happens in this country .

Most tolls in Europe only apply to commercial vehicles over 3.5t .
It would be worth checking if converted motorhomes ETC are effected .
In Germany the Euro emissions ratings and number of axels decide the rate charged .
So older multi axel rigs tend to get hammered financially.
