What's the crack with waving
Discussion
Getting a bit confused here, as to day whilst out in the Autotrail , some motorhome drivers waved to me and then a bit later on I waved and the bloke ignored me. Do I wave at all motorhomers and hope for a cheery wave back or shall I stick with just waving to Autotrail vans that come up the other way.
Defiantly noticed caravaners don't wave to MotorHomers LOL![tongue out](/inc/images/tongue.gif)

There's a snobbery to it too.
When I had my old campervan, bigger/newer vans didn't wave but older one's did.
Now I have the newer/bigger motorhome I find the opposite.
Snobbery indeed. As a VW T4 driver it's always amusing to see how Split/Bay owners respond. Plenty will look straight through you even if you wave and grin at them. When I had my old campervan, bigger/newer vans didn't wave but older one's did.

Same here in France. I wave only if they wave first. Crazy really.

I see a lot of people wave at us when I'm in my T5 Campervan. I honestly don't see the point for T5's as there are so many around, normal vans, campervans, shuttle buses etc so it takes me a little while to recognise it as a campervan and by then it has passed and I didn't wave - oops sorry.VW T25 air-cooled camper owner here. I will 'actively' wave to T2s and other T25s. Most respond if they notice me.
I used to wave to T4s and T5s but got fed up of builders and airport taxis not responding having mistakenly waved. I will return a wave if I notice someone else waving - but I suspect my eyes are elsewhere generally.
Never had a 'modern' (post 2000) motorhome wave back. But I quite often get 'older' motorhomes waving at me.
Living on the Isle of Wight generally brings quite a lot of opportunities too in the spring and summer.
Two friends own a T5 and T4 camper conversions respectively and they have given up waving due to lack of response from other owners. Another mate has a Ford transit conversion and never gets a wave (except from me occasionally
