So,
Have bought shiny new Weinsberg but, water heater needs electric hookup to work. Minor snafu..:0 Anyway, I am wondering what my options are to make it work if on a site with no mains hook up. So far a generator looks the only way forward but.....can you buy/swapout water heaters that will run on Calor, etc?
And, if I go down the generator route, what size do you guys go for as a minimum? I have my eye on a 2kw Honda.

I had an EU20i which I ran for a few months with Harry. It was a superb bit of kit - started first pull, every time. Probably only ran it for <10hrs though as I ended up coming back to plug into the house elecs. But it was very quiet, ran for >5hrs on one tank of fuel (depending on throttle load) and was sufficient to fully charge hab batteries in an hour or so or run a 600w microwave with very little difficulty.
Only issue was the 1200quid purchase price but I sold it for 900quid used. So although a lot of pounds per hour, their residuals are strong if you decide to move them on. I guess as a result of their legendary reliability, quietness and efficiency.
I could do with getting another now as I'll soon be moving off the house plot and perhaps to a small CL but I'm holding off as I may end up getting a Dometic onboard LPG generator with remote control fitted so that I'm not schlepping around an extra bit of kit to plug into and I can set it to recharge the batteries automatically if the voltage drops in my absence. A lot of wedge but for me, just a month or so mortgage payment so will pay for itself quickly.
