He's being paid £20m for it apparently - I know that it will be sold globally but will the publishers get a good return on their money?

i presume its is book 1 of a deal with book 2 being his time in america

i see he had enough stories to fill a second book but withdrew stories so could make up with family-makes you wonder about him expecting everything to go back to normal after book was published!
