Maybe this is Tony Blairs transformation into a dictator its been clear for awhile he no longer listens to anyone and just goes about HIS business HIS way. Maybe him and Saddam have been talking, maybe that trip to see gaddafi was more than just a reconsiliation dinner (the plot thickens).

What your seeing nowadays is that Lefty socialism, even Tony Blairs Blue-tinted socialism, whatever degree or severity it comes packaged in, is only a crisis away from the extreme regimes of the types led by Stalin.

Left is Left.

Unfortunately people forget and the likes of Labour get in cos the likes of the Conservatives lose elections when they get too arrogant and out of touch.

Prescott has 2 cars apparently. He also has a private train with 8 carriages - 1 first class coach and 7 buffet cars

But he can't run a bath

Maybe thats the key. When the protest start & we can't use our cars, we should all get wasted... sorry, I mean "binge drink" ... in town centres & cause so much chaos the government will have to capitulate. Not only unexpected, but fun.

ooh a 3 day week, wonder how that will sit with my 24/7 business??? I have never heard anything so stupid, this ceased to be possible when the economy stopped relying on spinning jennies for its wealth.

And I doubt it will go down too well with the shark-like Americans who just bought our parent company. They're already looking to cut costs in their overseas operations - their VP of Integration and Firing People (I think that was his job title) was prowling round the factory last week.

However, losing my job would be a small price to pay if Blair and his friends all lost theirs as well. Bring it on...

No. We are now into the era of career politicians. They have never worked in any business or industry, they have never seen how 'real' people work.

They have gone from school, with immature idealogical views, strengthened those views in college/university political clubs, and then started to climb the local/regional/national party machines.

I don't know if there are any politicians left who actually went into politics aged 40-50, having had 20 years in the real world.

At least the Tories socialise with people who run businesses - because they went to school together

I hope the fact that OPEC are to increase output and fuel may drop a few pennies dosen't change any minds about supporting a fuel protest.

Tax is the issue not OPEC's output....

Well if you supported the war in Iraq to kick out Saddam, then be quiet and pay the tax - we need it to cover the hole gordon has made in our budget. (well it was all for oil so it works out in the long run...

Failure to do so is the national equivalent of not paying off your credit card..

If you were anti war then feel free to keep protesting.

Oh yeah, and lest get pi**ed
