If you fancied somewhere a bit north of the SE of England - like Edinburgh - I could come along, and provide a band and a bit of help, too... otherwise a bit of a trek

Why not organise some karting at Milton keynes or something to make more of a weekend of it? At least it'll make it worthwhile for those coming from further afield..

And there'd naturally be prize-giving from the karting at the dinner..

That's a good idea CarZee, but would bump the cost up a lot - shipping people between the kart track and venue would mean hiring some minibuses, there'd probably be little kart time with 100 people, and it would be another 40-50 quid on top of the dinner price.

I think there will be more PH Karting events in the future, maybe slickly organised ones like Folembray, but the dinner and awards may need to be kept separate at the moment.

Good thought though!

Point taken - too complicated.

Ted - do you have an official PH event co-ordinator yet?

I'll have a babycham please, Scruff

btw Clarkson as guest speaker would be a superb effort - I expect it'd put the price up a bit though..

Mines a Bolly, Kahrzi, but Jeremy would love to speak to real drivers and not the numptys surely? Perhaps he'd be more approachable (financially) because of that?

I doubt that'd cut much ice with his agent..

We'll have to come up with ..maybe descrete tie pins with our sobriquet. My union flag is a bit worn... and it's got the wrong name on it..

Took a different tack on that one. Bookatrack are now handling the track days and am considering the other stuff as we go along. Domster took a bit of a lead on this one.

Definitely present at an event like this! For the golfers we may even be able to chuck in a couple of dodgy brollies for the raffle...

I think I'll bring Mrs Yert along, if that's OK. She's always grumbling that I never take her anywhere nice/interesting/posh for the weekend

Reform the band? What did you play? I'm a bluesman meself (proper lead guitarist) and would be up for a "guest" spot (Sing/Play Guitar for a couple of numbers...)

Not my band Don - I'm tone deaf as far as music goes. Mates had a reggae/ska band they were bloody fantastic a real show.
