There's no way any Dents Away man is getting those dents out of the car. Take it to a body shop for a quote.

Major bummer Warren, but take some pride in the fact that your handywork (or lack of, however you want to see it) has made BG look as hard as nails...!

Ouch. Sorry to see your P&J looking poorly, but have you thought about putting a PH sticker on the bits you'll replace. How cool would that look

You might make up some 'Gumball' stories to accompany the dents.

Ouch Warren, that's gotta hurt! Glad you are OK though, that is the most important thing. Still, ultimate respect for sprinting the Bentley, that is just

Sorry to hear that mate. Just streach the le mans stickers tight from crease to crease and no-one will notice! Lots of viper stripes applied in artistic ways?

Lovely looking car BG. Those wheels are rather menacing too.

Luck it wasn’t a new one.

Poor attempt at humour pinched from the old Frank Muir fruit and nut advert.

Hi Warren,

Sorry to see that BG took a beating but glad that you are ok!

In a strange way BG looks kinda cool with the battle scars, at least it shows you actually drive it. I think you will be lucky and salvage the doors but the rear wings a gonner for sure. You need to find a good bodyshop with proper guys who can panel beat..

See you in france next month, will buy you several beers!

Thanks folks.

Many thanks for all the kind words and offers of help, I appreciate it.

I feel much better now thanks, after all, it is only a bit of panel damage.

And a friend of mine has just sent me pics of his Turbo R racer written off last week, worst part about it is they had a seasons racing planned for it too.

Best wishes to all, I will see lots of you out and about in the midland & north west region meets, and at Le Mans no doubt.

OUCH! Yeah, when I posted Friday I sort of had a funny feeling that this might not go quite as planned. From an engineering standpoint I think a Turbo R is probably not a very forgiving car to drive at speed since it's so heavy, so once things start to go wrong at all they probably tend to get out of hand quick. Add to that very few owners track these cars so not much 2nd hand info on how they handle at the limit..

Although I thought by "sprinting" you meant what we call "drag racing" here in the states. I was afraid you might break some drivetrain parts..

Well it looks fixable, no doubt it won't come cheap but I guess no one expects anything about a Bentley to be cheap.

Bigtime props for having the nerve to get out there on the track with BG, sorry it went badly but you are OK and if there was some rust to be tended to anyway....also bigtime props for being above turning it in on insurance!

I don't doubt you can find a shop where they know what they are doing and can fix 100% right!

You might want to consider a dedicated set of track wheels and tires - I'm no Bentley expert by any means but basic physics tells me the main countermeasure for mass is going to have to be traction...Talk to someone who actually knows Bentleys before acting on any advice...particularly from M3-driving Yanks!

Anyway glad you are unhurt!

Steve, it all pales into nothing compared to the worries that you have with your lad getting burnt over the weekend. I know it will be no comfort, but I was feeling sorry for myself, then I read your post about Lee. I logged off the PC and went and hugged my little boy and was thankfull.

I hope he's doing OK.

He is having the time of his life Warren,in a room on his own, TV and a phone, being fed grapes eating sweets and drinking pop.
He will have slight scars on his legs(told him the girls will love to see them,he seemed happy with this )his hand is creamed up and in a bag.he has to keep moving the hand so the skin doesn't go tight on him.So all in all he has been very very lucky, just going to take time to heal.
