One of my neighbours is overrun with Saabs, all with the lights off for normal daytime use.

Arrrrghhh.. who gives a crap???

Anything that gives you extra heads up of an approaching volvoman is a good thing.. gives you time to arm the RPGs..

I think that tehy are all switchable since the 850 was introduced. Our 850 T5 also has that screw for switching them off if required.

Personally I like them, because the T5, especially in dark green, is not very obvious without them - especially in the frozen North where I live.

So, a man with a Nissan Primera is taking the piss out of volvo owners?

Yes, better to keep out of the way. there are lots of people with TVRs and T5s on this site.

Whoops - have I just insulted the famous (or infamous) CarZee?

A Nissan

Why worry about the headlights Carzee you'll only ever see the back of most Volvo's these days. Unless in your TVR that is. Rich...

mmm..in your own words describing the Nissan...

This is the most tedious car I have ever owned. It's woefully underpowered, it understeers, there are rattles, the driving position is rubbish and the stereo is crap.

......I cannot find any way to describe it with even a modicum of enthusiasm because it is so hideously dull.

Can a volvo possibly be any worse?

Oooooohhhhhhh yes!

Edit: Also, I wrote that before having a chance to try some of it's competitors back to back with it... having tried it against a Vectra and a Rover, I can confirm that in the class of "boring repmobile shite" the only thing that can match it for drivability is the Mundaneo.

But yes, it's piss-boring. At least it doesn't look like it was designed by a cubist!

For Cough Podie...

I *KNOW* a T5 is going to be better. But then so would a Skyline... and I'd take that over a carpark full of T5Rs..

Bit of an odd thread this one how can you compare a decent European car with bags of performance (not just the T5's, try a S60 2.0T) and build quality not far short of a Merc with some Jap'job (note I didn't say crap - opps just did, Ah' well ignore that bit CarZee ) Rich..
