This was the "temporary" P&J we hired to tour New Zealand's South Island. Frankly its remarkable what a nice backdrop can do for a car! (Actually it was OK - but not a patch on our Tiv/Porker of course.)

So...first one - just dream, eh?

And then

And finally...

Fantastic place...

Middle one is looking out over Akaroa harbour from next to the Hilltop pub!
Last one is Kaikoura coast!
Not sure on the first one though? Lewis Pass?

Here's an old one of my little pug. Not quite up to the standard here but...

West Coast SI, New Zealand, early morning fog just lifting off the lake.

I must really get out an make some good use of our awesome scenery!

The Brooklands banking is really steep.

I went up there with the Manta club and we parked our cars on the banking.

Try opening your door, and trying to get out.

Your door becomes about 10 times its normal weight and flies open, with you clinging on to it for dear life.

Also the pictures I uploaded to fontango dont seem to be working, I selected them to be viewed on the public bit but they dont seem to be showing I assume someone has to check them first before they are released

Supraman I had trouble at low speed just trying to sit in my seat, the only reason I did not fall out was because I had my seat belt on, I really thought the car was about to tip over.

Just spotted this...ok....

First one could be any river in Queensland. Probably not far from Beerwah?

Second one must be the Simpson Desert National Park.

assuming your travels were in Queensland

First one: Not a bad guess, only about 2-3000 KMs out!
It was actually taken about 2 days off the beaten track in Rainforests of Litchfield National Park in the far north of the Northern Territories. We got lost and the sun was setting fast. Luckily bumped into some Aussies in a 4x4 who told us a river and waterfall close by was great for swimming in the morning so we camped and sawm in it. It was great too, but they forgot to tell us it had crocs in it which we found out from a guide book 2 hours after our swim!!!

Second one: You are a lot closer, this time 5-600 KMs out (which is virtually round the corner in Aus!). Pic was taken in Southern Australia near Camerons Corner (The corner where NSW, QLD and SA all meet). This was neer the beginning of one of our bigger off-road trips (16,000Kms in total, about 6000Kms off road!).

BTW: If you have been to Beerwah you must have been to Australia Zoo (Steve Irwins place).
Great in'it!
We saw a snake that had just eaten a goat, whole!
And those crocs are bloody monsters!

So did mine, and that was in Australia! (although it did drop to minus 6C in the deserts at night and we had summer sleeping bags and a tent especially made to reflect away all heat! D'oh!

BTW: nice snatch strap

Do you think we should discuss this and share 4x4ing pics else where before the sports car peeps start hitting us with there hand bags?!

(Is there a 4x4 topic? Guess I'll soon find out!)

Maybe we should ask Ted to change the Landy forum into a general 4X4 forum?

You can but ask. Put a thread in the websire forum, he is more likely to see it there
