Its really is about time though that people took a stand again the gov.

Isn't that what elections are for? We elected them, so now they have power. It's like giving a child a gun then complaining when they shoot you!

Lets not forget that BP posted the largest profits of any UK company ever last year... The fuel companies happily pass the cost onto us the consumer, and continue to make staggering profits.

I'm not saying the government isn't wrong, because I think they are. But I also think the oil companies have a lot to answer for too...

Sometimes I admire the French.

Lets do it their style! Block the roads, sit back and eat some fine cheese and wine.

I have to say I prefer the South African approach.

They had some train issues, so they went out and burnt 5 stations to the ground...

Bugger, I drive the Tuscan to work every day (I don't even have a back up car!), a full tank of fuel barely lasts a week. Oh and BTW I am a front line NHS worker.

Last fuel strike I was in a similar situation but owned a n/a MR2, I was allowed to fill up by my local garage as I was NHS staff. More than a few cars in the hospital car park had their fuel lines cut and the petrol nicked, not mine though, they just nicked the whole car!

Where's the money gone? Simple:

Labour have introduced 88,000 jobs in to the NHS. Only 4,000 are medical front-line staff. The rest are management non-jobs. That's a lot of money for a start. Now just consider this wastage everywhere else the stick their little fingers.

I was chatting this issue with my brother the other day and we concluded that if the govt did not employ them they would still drain the economy by being on the benfits system.

So whats better for the country as a whole, people with a sense of worth by holding down a job (a big assumption on my part) or another 500,000 benefit dependant chavs with nothing better to do that disrupt the fabric of our society.

We basically concluded the old 80:20 rule.

80% of our countries taxes and resources are supporting 20% of our population who actually contribute nothing to society as a whole.

How fking depressing

Bring it on. I enjoyed the last one. I got a special card which allowed me to drive to a closed petrol station and use their 'important person' supply.
I saw queue's stretching for miles at local petrol stations and I just drive into an empty station with a petrol attendant waiting to fill my car. Felt like royalty. Took the 18mpg BMW, would have been rude not to.

Agreed with all of you.

I say it's about time to hit the government where it really hurts, give them a taste of their own medicine! And of course, don't vote for Labour...

I've got my bike test in 2 weeks time - I bloody hope theres enough fuel to run the test bike and examiners car, otherwise my test will be cancelled!!

I think ill go fill my car up, fill up a few jerry cans and then fill both bikes up too - if i get desperate i can always drain the tanks on the bikes

Just hope you don't run into a traffic jam of tractors on the way to the terminal!
