Beautifull stuff . . .
www.alvisoc.org/Site%20Files/Alvis%20Cars/Post-War/TD%2021.htm
"The result was the TD 21 introduced late in 1958."
"Nearly 1,100 TD 21s of both series left the works."

All of which of course underscores the point I made about the Arnolt (MG TD based) pre dating the Alvis.
On the question of Alvisi quite apart from their armoured vehicles their BS mid engined sports car was a cracker, what a shame that the rebodied, very attractive, version was never allowed to go into production, apparently the other members of BL didn't fancy the competition.

Hi,
My father bought this car out of Auto-trader in Seattle and slowly put it together. It had previously had the Chrylser V-8 before the Chevy 454 was put in. The 454 in it was rebuilt and modified after purchase. It was a basket case but a rolling one. Finding parts was almost impossible. He liked hot rods so that is why it has a modern update. The car is part of the 200 mph club at Daytona. Do not know if that was with Chrysler or Chevy motor. Want to see more go http://www.californiaclassix.com/archive/54_Arnolt... and have a look.
