Just posting what I know.

Friend who works for one of the fire brigade control stations has recieved a fax from the police in Gloucester warning of the threat of a fuel strike within the next 48 hours potentially.

Could be bollocks, dont quite know but am just passing it on.

I am sure I will get a link from snopes anytime soon telling me otherwise

On a purely selfish note, I hope the entire country comes to a halt with fuel protests. Firstly, missus has got her BMW 320d, which can do 650 miles to a tank. But... far more importantly, us BiBs will earn a fortune on paid rest days to Police all these protests. And on top of that, being emergency services as we are, we should be able to buy petrol to ensure that we are able to get to work to Police the blockades!! Brilliant!

Kerrrrr-ching!

IMHO thats also good! We all (in theory) get what we want apart from the government who have to pay out more too keep people (like yourself) out policing for strike purposes.

Had they not have irritated the public into action, this would never have happened.

Question though - why dont they just lower the fuel tax to compensate for the raise in oil prices?! Problem solved.

They need the money to employ more coordination facilitators in the Ministry of Waste and Incompetence.

Was laughing until I realised how true that statement it

Oh crap! They might take away my driving license now for slating the government

Oh crap! They might lock me up for insinuating that they might take my license away

Oh crap! etc etc etc.
