Coventry

Hoping to go down to Coventry (or similar area) by train for a weekend next month.

Just wondering if anyone knows of anything interesting to do there and if there's anywhere (cheep!) to stay such as a premier lodge type thing.

By going on train I will be limited as to where I can get to but don't know the area at all!

Is the Ibis hotel in walking distance of the train station?

It's door's fault. PIE stands for "Posture Is Everything"
Suposidly my smallish frame and good sized "floatation aids" give rise to a shock when I'm stold to stand with correct posture (chest out).

Lois, It sounded in your original post as if you might have had some sort of choice when going to Coventry. If there is any element of choice whateoever then I recommend you exercise it - Coventry really is an excreble place, I cannot think of a single redeeming feature about it

Ok...well is there anyone roughly around that area thats nicer to visit. Just there worked out as a half way place to meet. Has to have a good train station though

All I want in a cheepish hotel (such as Ibis) in the town centre roughly that way (inbetween Preston and Eastbourne) with a train station.

Only for one night.

I need by En suite! There's an Ibis near me so I know they're ok. Basic but all you need really!

Well I have a brochure. It's only for 1 weekend and I'm not overly bothered what its like really. There seems plenty to do and more importantly everything seems pretty central...and not too expensive!
