Virginia Waters Meet 5th February

It's about time we had another VW meet. February always means a HUGE turnout, as I guess people have been hibernating over winter and can't bare it any more.

For those who've not been to a VW meet before, the venue is the enormous car park next to The Wheatsheaf. Or here on Multimap.

The car park is now £4.50 (or free to owners of Caterhams and other very low cars ). Things usually kick-off from around 10am. I'm sure D4V KC will be along shortly with details of the now traditional run from The Point

Of course! It's the variety and scale of the turnout that makes VW so special. The more the merrier!!

It's usually around 10.30am for an 11am departure. I'll give D4V KC a shout and find out. Alternatively try this for the full experience

The VW part is a meet, yes. It's such an institution now that I'd expect to see between 150-250 cars, some of which are very rare. There are also lots of runs happening which all end up at VW. It's a great day for petrolheads.

You'll all be pleased to know that the barriers at VW will be staffed by the groundskeeping team from 10am-midday on Sunday. This should make it nice and easy to get into the car park and avoid the queues we've had in the past. Please have your schrapnel ready as you pull into the car park.

Well, according to Slinky's stats, the 258 cars that took part in last month's Midnight Tunnel Run were worth a combined £8.4m

It's all in hand. I've arranged with the owners of the car park for it to be staffed from 10am-midday in order to get people in quickly and avoid a queue spilling out into the road.
