Driving with the lights on during the day

Following the thread about sunglasses, I thought that:
On a related note, sunglasses can cause you to see very little it you drive under trees, with light hitting your car on and off. Which is why I always drive with my sidelights on (bright LED rows), so I can be seen in that case and many others...
I think it's mandatory in Sweden, and it is advised in some parts of France...
What do you think?

As I mentionned I have added 2 rows of bright LEDs, very much like driving lamps on a lot of american cars if you like... They are not so bright so that I still need the dipped beam when it gets dark or rains heavily, but also I found that that dipped beam can bother other motorists during the day...
