Marcos targa launch: pics

New targa-topped car on display in London

Hot off the press! These are the pictures taken a couple of hours ago at the launch of the Marcos GTC and GTC R/T (the targa version).

The car was launched at the exclusive Salon Prive event held at the Hurlingham Club in London.

I have to say, it looks like they forgot to invite people to this launch.

The people in the background look like they could have been there anyway, and the car launch was a bonus.

I'm not sure about the interior colour for the blue car, but the exterior is stunning. I'd love to know what they sound like, given the level of work that is supposed to have gone into getting the note right.

Most people were courteous enough to stand behind the cameras

It's a great event.

Sorry, just looks like a cheap version of the TVR T350 to me, and the detailer forgot to blacken the tyres (small point i know!!)

I like the styling and the general concept, I wouldn't go for the targa top myself though.

Check out the details, the rear sliced exhaust, the meaty A pillar, the blackened and bold rear diffuser, the cut off duck tail spoiler - these are all very confident aggresive and contemporary design pieces. Nice work in my opinion.

It's a good looking car and I'm sure, with that engine, it'll sound and go great.....but that interior is awful, the old Griff/Chim interiors should be eclipsed by now, this ain't gonna do it

You really should take a closer look at this car. It's very, very different from a TVR.

The point is i'd have to take a closer look, it should be different from the first glance, IMO ofcourse, and the front and side profile just isnt different enough, for me anyway

Saw this at the Canary Wharf show last year.

Nice enough car, but quite small inside.

Good to see a British car being done nicely though.

That's been dealt with now in this GTC, it would have been the GT2 you looked at last year which was a bit cramped for some tastes. Marcos responded to feedback and the new car is roomier.

I love everything about the car, bar the dashboard. But Hey, I could live with it.

Not being funny, but the proportions of the car are so different to a T350...

I prefer the rear to the front, but overall I love it. Proper engine too.

Not keen on the targa roof on the blue one.

Nice, please don't flame me as it's my opinion only but have Marcos picked up where TVR left off?

Certainly better looking than previous Marcos stuff which was er...challenged aesthetically.

More like a Triumph GT6 that's been on the steroids

I'm another that thinks the interior needs a shot of the TVR pizzaz. It's just a bit plain for £50k
