For all those who like a lie in on a Sunday. Sky Sports have the following after the live Grand Prix showing:

Australian GP Highlights: 0730-0830

Full rerun of earlier schedule;

Grand Prix Sunday (build up): 0830-0925
Australian F1 Grand Prix: 0925-1130
Followed by Chequered Flag and Notebook.
But why not just watch the full race as soon as you happen to wake up? F1TV, you can watch a replay of the race 90 seconds after the start, an hour later, 6 hours later or 12 years later.

I'm confused as to why SKY can't just allow viewers to immediately stream anything they missed.
Even in the UK?

I can watch live on F1TV overseas, but it's not on at all in the UK until a while after. Definitely not 90 second later unless it's changed?

I'll just watch it in the afternoon.
You need a VPN to access the service in the UK...

Which some people see as a faff. Personally I see dealing with Sky scheduling BS, listening to croft and missed recordings a bigger faff!

Or the C4 option, the worst sacrifice of all as it's just highlights.

See watching F1 thread for expanded details of F1TV usage.

Take a look at the “Watching F1 on TV” thread https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

I tried that but there was quite a time lag between sound and vision - the sound 20 or 30 seconds ahead.
You need to sit further back from the radio.

Finally a weekend where I can actually watch things live!
01:30am tonight/ tomorrow morning will mark the real season start for me. Timings on the previous 2 weekends meant I saw none of it live and replays just don't hold the same interest for me.

Hoping for McLaren to go well here, I believe Sainz is back which is a pity in a way, would have liked to see Bearman on an old-school track.

Sandpit and I have been chatting - any chance he can have a permanent ban from our little support races thread?

Utter bilge. Vacuous crap in high heels is all the rage.

Presumably that studio is in the UK, therefore saving Sky at least £50k in flights and accommodation for the three of them in Australia?

So Albon was the unlucky chap who discovered the limits of grip on a very green circuit in the P1 session, Williams are going to be rather busy changing al four corners on that car before P2.

McLaren look like they have some real pace. Not quite sure that studio setup works though.

Yep, studio in London with Karun operating a bigger skypad from there. Martin, Ted, Crofty and Rachel on the ground in Albert Park. Not sure if there is another former driver yet to join the Sky team this weekend.
Crowds look massive in the warmish sunshine for an FP1 session.
A couple of exciting spins in the second half of the initial session - good saves from Russell and Botas at turn 10, Albon not so lucky at turn 6.
Top 10 within half a second - looks promising for a close race at this stage.
