Not sure how hammy could have given Rosberg more room. Hamilton was doing what Ros should have been doing. Concentrating on what was in front of him.

My wife and I both picked up on Rosbergs assertation that he couldn't comment on the incident as he hadn't seen the video coverage. He was in the perfect position to see what happened, never mind a video. I feel he is quite cynical in his approach, but can't hack it when questioned.

Yup. Just like he can't hack it when required to race wheel to wheel.

As far as I am concerned all Rosberg needed to say was, simply, 'I'm sorry I fked up & I made a mistake'.

Not difficult is it?

He would have got a lot of respect for those two words - I'm sorry.

Quite the contrary. He hacked it very well. He put Lewis out and came second.

Yes Agree with the above. Also his inane grin really needed slapping off. He knew what he was doing. Very similar to Schumachers inane grin every time he won. He was a cheat as well. punch : censored:

OK HGBT.

Here it is in plain English. I too blame Hamilton for failing to keep his mouth shut, not just over this weekend, but several others.
Utter rubbish. There has been some crap written on this thread over the last couple of days but the above comment is just inane.

IMO. (& I'm no LH fanboy).
Utter rubbish indeed! However, my utter rubbish is far better quality than your utter rubbish. IMO.

Have added another [ /quote ] to your post..... makes your post less rubbishy looking doncha know ... IMO.. OK so I'm a pedant ... wink

Was that a lie about your being a fanboy? Just askin' like ... =init ... inane or not.
I give up. And no I don't lie - I am not a fan-boy. That is you.
A word in your shell like ... NEVER give up.

Right, I'm off to have a bit of 33-1 on Ricciardo. If the two Mercs Jockeys continue to run to form, I'll be rich beyond my wildest. Might have a few quid on United to win too. How they doing I wonder... wink

so are there really people who think that Rosberg should be punished for just touching LH car and LH shouldn't be punished for hitting JB at the middle of the sidepod on Hockenheim?!

All it takes is for Hamilton to do the same to rosberg and Riccardo to score another few race wins and with 50 points up for grabs in the final race nothing is set in stone for the title. There is only 60 points between rosberg and Riccardo and 30 points between him and hamiton.

The red bull looked very quick during race trim at spa with low downforce and still had plenty of grip in the corners considering Monza is more for speed red bull will be targeting the race win with Riccardo.
With all the other cars trimmed out for top speed Red Bull wont be anywhere at Monza.
Assuming no one wipes each other out/ rain I'd suspect something along the lines of 4th to 6th place for the RB cars there. Williams should do very well there.

Yea a lot of people said that at the beginning of the year while the red bull was having loads of problems during testing. How many people predicted
a Riccardo to be regulary beating vettel
b Riccardo to have not just 1 but 3 race wins
c be only 60 points from 1 merc and 30 points from the other
d in the last 6 races score more points than any other driver on the grid

Its shaping up to be an intriguing end to the season.

The rosberg Hamilton thing isn't going to end over night.

And got boos from the crowd. And has quite likely damaged Mercedes Corporate. I bet that is what f***ed them off the most and that is why both Lauda and Wolff immediately came out and said it was unacceptable conduct.

Oh, why is everyone saying this was a private meeting? Nikki said there will be a meeting at 4.45 on TV. Then I understand both he and Toto came out and confirmed what Lewis had said. If it was a private meeting, they could have come out and said that they could neither confirm nor deny what Lewis has said as the meeting was private.... But they did not.

With Ricciardo securing a "surprise" win and Vettel being best of the rest in Q3 at Spa, can we deduce the Renault power units are closing the disadvantage gap towards the outputs of the Mercedes-Benz powered cars?

The ease with which Ricciardo passed more experienced drivers and contained the Mercedes of Rosberg effectively towards the end, surely it is not solely down to luck but, also improvement of the cars and engines.

In any event, it's making for a more interesting contest if the RBs are closing that power and reliability gap. Vettel hasn't had a reliability DNF for a race or two lately either.

I will not be too surprised to see them mixing it with the Mercedes-Benz powered cars in Italy Sunday week. Bring it on.

Didn't button apologise for that?
Yes, possibly just as Hamilton waved his hand when making the second attempt at a clean pass.

He who doesn't go for a closing gap is not a racer ... apparently.

Tis writ in the yellow helmet book of racing excellence.,

Strange isn't it if I remember rightly building upto the candian gp most on here said Hamilton will win it by a country mile what happened rosberg was a lot close in quali than predicted and due to the problems of the merc both having the same problems at the same time with Hamilton getting the bad end of it Riccardo won.

Hungary same again Hamilton will win it this time nothing he could of done in quali due to car problems rosberg should of won that one well the rest is history another Riccardo win.

Spa will be a merc win with being 2s a lap quicker in quali bang the collision which was rosbergs fault ends in a Riccardo win see the pattern here.

Things aren't going to be great at Monza Hamilton will probs want revenge on rosberg anything could happen and if red bull gets the car set up he could well win again.

If they don't grow up and atleats make sure a merc wins the gp either one then this year will turn in to a guaranteed double titles for merc to just the one and both merc drivers will have egg on there face. History has shown to strong drivers in the same team doesn't end well prost and senna anyone its going that way.

None of that has any bearing on how the cars generate their performances.

Monza will be a weak track for all the Renault and Ferrari powered cars, it's nothing like Spa in the requirements for generating lap times.
