Interested in your reason for thinking that?

At least it might be fun to see what Vettel and Massa can do from the back... starting alongside each other.

To be honest barring any f-ups or problems for Merc & Ferrari I think the top 3 will finish as they started. I can't see Ferrari being fast enough to challenge Merc, but barring a bad start they should have enough in hand to fend off Bottas and Grosjean.

Point and squirt it may be, but as above, the braking areas are huge and you can easily lose time in the chicanes with a small error. Despite an awful P3 Hamilton has been in front of Rosberg pretty much all weekend.

I was surprised how quick Lewis was on the pace as P3 was pretty much a disaster and he was struggling with setup, brakes in particular are a big concern - its taken him a long time (since he joined Merc) to be happy with the brakes and he still struggles from time to time. I reckon most of it is psychological to be honest - he's got to feel confidence in them.

Vettel given a 5 place penalty for overtaking under red flags, now starts P19. His defence was the Manor car was going slowly and he believed it had a problem, stewards didn't agree.

This one is a car breaker - hard on brakes and engines, I guess nowadays ERS..

Meantime, back to the old days, Patrick Depailler qualifying in 1978 in the wet. Balls the size of coconuts given the amount of time he spends sideways!

Note the position of the old pits. This run only got him 13th on the grid, but he managed to finish 5th, some 28 seconds behind winner, Gilles Villenuve.

I'm not so sure. KR is on the 'dry' good side of the track to start and could get into the first corner first. If he does then his superior straight line speed could well keep NR behind him despite DRS, at lest until the pit stops. Given Merc's tactical nonce, they could well call NR into the pits at the wrong time for new tyres.

Tyre strategy might well be difficult to fathom tomorrow. The primes last for a week and no one has an idea how the options wear. Someone is going to come in at the wrong time and Merc does seem to have taken McLaren's mantle of watching the screens rather than the race.

The odds are against anything but your prediction, but there is a chance of a different outcome.

Shame both ferraris not closer, race could and will no doubt be over by the third lap.

Possibly if the only race you are watching is for first place.

yes and still someone will be arguing that Vettel 'can't race' and his four championships are all down to the car on the Sebastian Vettel thread...

I have praised the way Merc handled last season between the two drivers and their racing philosophy, but I fear their standards are slipping.

It seems that they go to such an extreme, it is apparent that they end up doing something to redress the balance race by race to both their drivers. Also, you get the feeling that Lewis is the favoured child more often than not. Where is Toto now apologising to Nico after this? It's all sweeped under the carpet with a hand wavey answer. Whereas last race, they seemed bent over backwards to apologise to the media and anyone who asks. I feel Merc have clearly disadvantaged Nico in Q3 yesterday preventing him from getting pole. Who knows, pole yesterday might have given him the extra boost to go on and win this race.

That's all well and good but your whole post is based on the assumptions, there's no proof they sabotaged his runs with dodgy tyres or pressures.

It was explained by the BBC commentary team. Tyres are made into sets by Pirelli. They are then issued to the teams 'randomly'. The teams are not allowed to mix and match the individual tyres so if they find one rear tyre has a fraction larger rolling radius than the other they will classify that as such. One would assume that Merc saved the 'best' set for the final run, when there's more grip.

Do you have a work VPN that connects back to the UK?

If not then Tunnelbear is cheap and easy to configure.

Or http://cricfree.sx/sky-sports-f1-live-stream-1 is poor quality but free.

There is only one driver who can race, according to the F1-directioners hehe
